Tasks
1. Headlines often tell you when something happened. Scan the headlines above for
signal words. Underline signal words for …
… will-future in pink.
… present perfect in blue.
… simple past in brown.
… simple present in green.
2. Write the headlines as full sentences with the verbs in passive. Use the back page to
write on.
Example: New White Sox coach will be presented next week.
