Firmengeschichte
Die Firma Tempel wurde von Otto Tempel sen. im Jahre 1928 in Weiten-Gesäß (bei Michelstadt) gegründet. Erlesener Elfenbeinschmuck
und spezielle kunsthandwerkliche Drechslerei-Erzeugnisse entstanden
ebenso wie Musikinstrumenten-Zubehörteile.
Der Sohn Otto Tempel jun. verlegte seine Werkstatt im Jahre 1964 nach
Michelstadt. Das große Sortiment an Musikinstrumenten-Zubehörteilen
wurde im Laufe der Zeit beträchtlich erweitert. Der Name Tempel wurde
zu einem Begriff für erstklassige Bestandteile hochrangiger Streichinstrumente.
Die nächste Generation
Felicia Katharina Tempel
Nun in dritter Generation, übernahm der Enkel des Firmengründers, Knut Tempel, im Jahre 2001 das Familienunternehmen und erweiterte das Angebot an hochwertigsten Bestandteilen für Musikinsrumente, insbesondere für die
Gruppe der klassischen Streichinstrumente. Der Werkstatt-Neubau im benachbarten Erbach wurde 2009 bezogen.
Die Marke „Tempel“, von Firmengründer Otto Tempel sen. eingeführt, wurde später zur Marke „Otto Tempel
Germany“ und nun auf Familienbeschluss zur jetzigen Marke Tempel Germany.
Damit ist bereits mit der Kennung der Erzeugnisse der mittlerweile weltweiten Verbreitung Tempel’scher Bestandteile Rechnung getragen.
History
The Tempel company was established by Otto Tempel sen. in 1928 in Weiten-Gesäß (nearby Michelstadt). Very
good quality ivory jewellery and special decorative wood-turned articles as well as parts for musical instruments
have been produced.
The son, Mr. Otto Tempel jun., relocated the company to Michelstad in 1964. At that time he anlarged the production of the company tremendously. The name of Tempel became synonymous for high quality parts for musical
instruments.
Now, the third generation, the grandson of the company’s founder, Mr. Knut Tempel, took over the family-busyness
und again enlagerd the huge variety of highest quality assecoires especially for the group of classical stringed
instruments. The workshop new building in neighbouring Erbach was covered in 2009.
The label „Tempel“, that has changed to „Otto Tempel Germany” now is Tempel Germany, according to the
family’s decision.

Sicherlich gibt es nicht allzu viele Arbeitsplätze mit einer solch traumhaft schönen
Aussicht wie hier, mitten im Odenwald. Obwohl noch viel Arbeit erforderlich ist, bis
das neue Haus ganz fertig gestellt und ausgestattet ist, sollen nachfolgende Bilder
einen ersten Eindruck vermitteln.

Absolutely there are not too many jobs with such fantastically nice view like here, in the
middle of the region “Odenwald”. Although still a lot of work is necessary, until the new
house is completely finished and is equipped, the following pictures should convey the first
impression.

Eine wesentliche Voraussetzung für hochwertige Produkte ist die fachkompetente Auswahl und Beschaffung
entsprechender Materialien – hier Edelhölzer, Bein und Mammut; nicht immer sind diese in der erforderlichen
Qualität und Menge auf dem Markt verfügbar. Deshalb bedarf es einer klugen, weitschauenden Vorratsplanung
und Lagerhaltung solcher Ausgangsstoffe für feine Bestandteile von Musikinstrumenten.
An essential condition for high-quality products is the specialised competent choice and procurement of suitable materials
– here fine woods, bone and mammoth; these are not always available in the necessary quality and amount at the market.
Therefore, it requires a clever, wide-looking stock planning and camp position of such source materials for high quality
accessoires for musicl instruments.

Dyneema ist eine Kunststofffaser, entwickelt vom niederländischen Chemiekonzern Royal DSM N.V. Dyneema ist eine hochfeste Polyethylen-Faser (PE), die
bei gleichem Gewicht bis zu 15 mal zugfester ist als Stahl (250–300 daN/mm²)
und 40 % fester ist als Aramid. Die Reißlänge von Dyneema beträgt rund 300 km.
Dyneema ist mit einer Dichte von 0,95–0,97 g/cm³ etwas leichter als Wasser und
schwimmt. Die Faser ist sehr lange haltbar und hat eine hohe Beständigkeit gegen
Abrieb, Feuchtigkeit, UV-Strahlen und Chemikalien.
Dyneema is a plastic fiber, developed by the Dutch chemical concern royal DSM.DYNEEMA N.V is a high-strength Polyethylen fiber (PE) which is 15 times more train-firm with the
same weight up to than steel (250-300 daN/mm ²) and 40% is more firm than Aramid. The
rice length of Dyneema amounts to about 300 km. Dyneema is a little lighter with a density

The publication of this catalogue renders all formerly
listed prices invalid.
All prices are listed in Euros and do not include VAT.
This catalogue is intend for trade customers.
Shipping Costs within Europe:
Orders of less than € 600.00 net are charged a flat fee
of € 12.00 for shipping and handling.
Shipping Costs to Non-European Countries:
I export to all countries. Orders of less than
€ 2.500.00 net are charged a flat fee of € 50.00
including packaging, postage, and transport insurance.
Orders over € 2.500.00 net are delivered free of charge.
Terms of Payment
Accepted are payments by bank transfer. Payments

be transferred to third parties nor given as security until

Reservation of Delivery
I reserve the right to cancel a delivery, partially or in
full, due to unforeseen circumstances such as strike,
war, fire, acts of government. natural disasters. traffic
