Autos wurden erfunden. Jetzt existieren sie. Wir kümmern
uns um sie. Dafür fahren sie. Es gibt sie immer noch. Ich
kann sie sehen. Es ist wie in die Vergangenheit zu blicken.
Eigentlich gibt es sie auch jetzt schon nicht mehr. Die Art
der Fortbewegung wird mit enormem Aufwand am Leben
erhalten. Bald wird es sie nicht mehr geben. Die Geräuschkulissen wird es nicht mehr geben. Den Duft der Autos
nicht mehr. Aber noch sind sie überall, wie Dinosaurier.
Sind es immer noch die gleichen alten Geschichten der
Sehnsucht, die dort durch die Gegend gefahren werden?

Biografie von Lisa Domin
1983 in Iserlohn geboren, studierte Domin Film und Fotografie in Braunschweig und schloss mit Auszeichnung ab.
Von 2011 bis 2012 war sie Meisterschülerin von Dörte Eißfeldt. 2014 hatte sie eine Einzelausstellung (If You See
Them or Not Mountains Are There) im Museum für Kunst
und Kulturgeschichte, Dortmund. Nach längeren Aufenthalten in Berlin, Budapest und Istanbul lebt und arbeitet
Domin seit 2012 im Ruhrgebiet.
Cars were invented. Now they exist. We care about them.
Therefore they drive. They are still there. I can see them.
It’s like a glimpse into the past. Actually, they don’t exist
anymore. This means of transport is only kept alive with
enormous effort. Soon they won’t exist anymore. The
background noise will be gone, the smell of cars as well. But
they are still to be found everywhere, like dinosaurs. And
are these the same old stories of desire still being driven
around?
Biography of Lisa Domin
Born 1983 in Iserlohn, Domin studied film and photography
in Braunschweig and graduated with distinction. From
2011 to 2012, she was a member of Dörte Eißfeldt's
master class. She had a solo show in 2014 (entitled If You
See Them or Not Mountains Are There) at the Dortmund
Museum of Art and Cultural History. After intermittent
stays in Berlin, Budapest and Istanbul, Domin has lived
and worked in the Ruhr since 2012.

Bischof Desmond Tutu. Der neuseeländischen Popsängerin
Lorde schickt sie ein Bild, das sie aus Knochen gemacht hat.
Die wichtigste Forderung enthält aber ihr Brief, den sie allen schreibt: »Ich verdiene es, gehört zu werden.« Eine vielschichtige, frische und ehrliche Arbeit über das Bedürfnis,

Biografie von Emily Vey Duke und Cooper Battersby
Die 1972 in Kanada geborene Künstlerin Emily Vey Duke
studierte am Nova Scotia College of Art and Design sowie
an der University of Illinois in Chicago. Später arbeitete
sie als künstlerische Leiterin am Khyber Center for the
Arts in Halifax. Seit 1994 arbeitet sie gemeinsam mit dem
kanadischen Künstler Cooper Battersby. Ihr gemeinsames
Werk umfasst Installationen, Kuration und Ton, am häufigsten jedoch arbeiten sie als Videokünstler. Ihre Arbeiten
wurden mehrfach auf dem IFFF Dortmund | Köln gezeigt.
The bone collector Maxine Rose, a 14-year-old teenage girl,
yearns for approval from her idols, including primatologist
Jane Goodall, comedian Louis C.K. and Bishop Desmond
Tutu. She sends New Zealand pop singer Lorde a picture
that she has made out of bones. But the most important
claim is contained in the letter which she writes to them all:
»I deserve to be heard.« A multi-layered, fresh and honest
film about the need to be visible.
Biography of Emily Vey Duke and Cooper Battersby
Born 1972 in Canada, film-maker, artist and curator Emily
Vey Duke studied at the Nova Scotia College of Art and
Design as well as at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
She later worked as artistic director at the Khyber Centre for
the Arts in Halifax. Since 1994 she has collaborated with
the Canadian artist Cooper Battersby. Their work includes
installations, curation and sound. Most often, though, they
work as video artists. Their work has been shown several
times at the Dortmund | Cologne IWFF.
