This position is for MCC Transport, Tokyo, Japan.
仕事内容
Key Responsibility:
•Translates strategy into country short- and long-term business plans.
•Delivers and optimises the yield and volume for each string calling the country to achieve the overall
country score.
•Influences trade strategies through MCC HQ Trade Managers or Heads of Trades
•Provides guidance to local capacity management.
•Builds and communicates local market, trade and customer intelligence to drive country objectives
and sales actions.
•Ensures development of relevant, timely, high impact campaigns and sales materials to generate
yield and volume.
•Drives customer satisfaction survey process.
•Assist Country Manager in driving the team to deliver target volume and yield/margin levels for the
country.
•Analyse existing cargo base and provide cargo selection direction to sales and customer service
team to ensure maximum yield generated from available resources of space and equipment.
•Propose budget volumes, rates and service deployment as per discussion with the Country
Manager and Sales manager.
•Work out surcharge review and implementation with sales and bench marking with market and ML
to achieve top line improvement.
•Initiate product development, includes coordinating with Sales for market studies on potential
corridors and come up with concrete proposal to HQ.
•Provide information and recommendation to improve product port-folio to/from all ports within
scope.
•Gather market information (market size, market development, competitors) available and share with
HQ, Sales and other stakeholders.
•Manage Customer Communication & Campaign activities including general customer
communication (advisories, etc.), E-commerce, campaign management and coordination of
customer functions & tradeshows.
•Together with Sales Manager, manage sales pipeline to deliver on the country targets with the best
paying cargo.
•Manage and administrate local communication & branding activities.
•Closely coordinate with ML to ensure maximum commercial/organization synergies, e.g. identify
possible relay opportunities, maximise vessel utilization, etc.
•Participate in Intra-Asia Discussion Agreement forum where relevant and establish relationship with
other Intra-Asia carriers.
•Keep MCC HQ updated on market situation as well as pricing and capacity trends and issues.
•Support country manager with weekly/monthly reports, include but not limited to own carriers,
competitors performance and general market update.

•At least 3 years of relevant experience of sales and marketing, trade in container shipping industry.
•Strong business, customer and Intra-Asia market understanding.
•Excellent Communication skill in English.
•Japanese proficiency would be added as an advantage.
•Decisive and result oriented.
•Experience in Sales or Marketing is preferred.
•An understanding of 3rd party feeder-business and relationship with Main Line Operators would be
added as an advantage.
•A manager that inspires, motivates, coaches, communicates and collaborates.
•Management experience would be added as an advantage.
•Analytic skill.
•Creative and challenging the status quo.
•Advanced skill of Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
