programs！
ART FAIR TOKYO 2016 pleased to announce the summary of its artistic practices and programs of this year.
We corporate with excellent galleries and their artists from around the globe but also with fair directors and
galleries associations chairmen in Asia-Pacific region.
Japanese major enterprises which have rich history of supporting cultural and artistic endeavors across the
world will be together offering a wide range of programs and discussions on practical themes in and out of
the venue.

Following corporate tax reform effective 1 January 2015, the price of artworks which is subject to
depreciation was hiked from 200 thousand yen to 1 million yen. Prior, it was only calligraphic works
and antiques below 200 thousand yen which were regarded as depreciable assets.
In light of the reform, Art Fair Tokyo 2016 will have a special booth where we display and sell our
carefully selected artworks which are less than 1 million yen. Please take this opportunity to visit the
booth and enjoy the excellent artworks.

[2] Artistic Practice: FACE UP!
We have started the initiative of artistic practice since 2011, and we will be displaying figures from
13 selected galleries. We hope the visitors will feel the tactile appeal of wood grain and materials and
follow traces of hands and eyes of the artists.

Art FAIR Tokyo and Mercedes Benz will jointly present an astonishing art car again this year. The car
will be displayed at the fair entrance on B1 lobby gallery during the fair.

[1]『APAGA (ASIA PACIFIC ART GALLERY ALLIANCE) Symposium』
APAGA (ASIA PACIFIC ART GALLERY ALLIANCE), which was established for the purpose of the
expansion of the art market in Asia and sending the voice out to the world. Eight countries and
territories galleries associations will be invited to ART FAIR TOKYO 2016 to discuss about Expansion
and Transmission of Art Market in Asia
