Call for ATHENS courses
Dear TUM Professors and Academic Staff members,
In order to enhance the number of courses offered by TUM in the frame of the ATHENS
Programme, we would like to ask you for support.
The ATHENS network and programme
Having joined in 2005 TUM is currently the only German member of the Advanced Technology
Higher Education Network Socrates (ATHENS). The Network consists of 24 European institutions
whose goal is to offer its students intensive one-week courses twice a year.

ATHENS courses
ATHENS institutions offer intensive one-week courses twice a year (March and November), which
take place simultaneously. The ATHENS program is intended for students and doctoral
candidates.
In order to increase our course offer in the frame of the ATHENS Programme we are looking
for TUM Professors and Academic staff members (inclusive PhD students with teaching
assignments) willing to hold courses in English.
TUM strives to enhance the offer particularly in the following fields:
Management and Economics
Start-ups
Climate change
Environmental and sustainable technologies

Courses should consist of of 30 Hours in total. Students receive 2 ECTS credits for the course
after passing the final exam.
For the academic year 2016/17 ATHENS courses will be offered on the following dates:

14-19 November 2016
13-18 March 2017
