I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, his
only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered
under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended into hell. On the third
day he rose again; he ascended into heaven, he is seated at the right hand of the Father, and
he will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Catholic
Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and
the life everlasting. Amen.

<Offering>
The Bible teaches that tithing is a part of worship and it’s a responsibility of each believer
(Malachi 3:10). It also says, “Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to
give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver (II Cor. 9:6-7).”
We don’t pass around the offering basket since we don’t want anyone who is not able to
give for some reason to feel pressure or awkward (especially for visitors). We also would
like everyone to do it spontaneously. Please put the offerings in the box on the counter.

待ち望む
使徒信条（⼝語訳）

<献⾦について>
私たちは聖書が収⼊の⼗分の⼀を献げることを、礼拝の⼀部であり信じる者の責任であると
教えていると考えています。(マラキ3:10) しかしまた、「⼈に強いられてではなく喜んで、
⾃ら決めたとおりに豊かに献げる⼈を神は愛する」（第２コリント9:6-7）とあります。そ
こで私たちは、メンバーでない⽅や何らかの理由で献げられない⽅が気兼ねしないですむよ
うに、また献げる者も⾃発的であってほしいという願いから、礼拝中に献⾦を募ることはし

Looking forward to the birth of the hope

A. Looking forward to the hope in despair
1) The people who have been looking forward to the hope across the generations
(1:1-4, 13) Since over couple of centuries before Jesus was born, there have been sorrows and
sufferings of the small, the poor and the weak in this world. Prophets in the Old Testament
were petitioning God for their people's grief. The God's answers to them were 'wait', 'The
righteous will live by his faith' and 'The LORD is in his holy temple; let all the earth be
silent before him'. Since after Jesus came to this world about 2000 years ago, the condition
of the world doesn't seem to have been improved. But, certainly the hope has been given to
us. Because Jesus exists, we can live here by the trust we have in him.
For Discussion 1) Is the condition of the world getting better or worse?
2) Why can Jesus be your hope?
2) Human nature stays the same (11,15,16, 2:18, 19)
B. The hope was born in the desperate world
1) God answers us (2:2-4,20) 2) Do you have the hope in your heart? (3:17-19)
The oracle that Habakkuk the prophet received. How long, O LORD, must I call for help,
but you do not listen? Or cry out to you, "Violence!" but you do not save? Why do you make
me look at injustice? Why do you tolerate wrong? Destruction and violence are before me;
there is strife, and conflict abounds. Therefore the law is paralyzed, and justice never
prevails. (1:1-4)
Then they sweep past like the wind and go on-- guilty men, whose own strength is their
god." (1:11)
O LORD, are you not from everlasting? My God, my Holy One, we will not die. O LORD,
you have appointed them to execute judgment; O Rock, you have ordained them to punish.
(1:12)
Your eyes are too pure to look on evil; you cannot tolerate wrong. Why then do you tolerate
the treacherous? Why are you silent while the wicked swallow up those more righteous than
themselves? (1:13)
You have made men like fish in the sea, like sea creatures that have no ruler. (1:14)
The wicked foe pulls all of them up with hooks, he catches them in his net, he gathers them
up in his dragnet; and so he rejoices and is glad.
Therefore he sacrifices to his net and burns incense to his dragnet, for by his net he lives in
luxury and enjoys the choicest food. (1:15, 16)
Then the LORD replied: "Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a
herald may run with it. For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and
will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.
"See, he is puffed up; his desires are not upright-- but the righteous will live by his faith -(2:2-4)
"Of what value is an idol, since a man has carved it? Or an image that teaches lies? For he
who makes it trusts in his own creation; he makes idols that cannot speak. Woe to him who
says to wood, `Come to life!' Or to lifeless stone, `Wake up!' Can it give guidance? It is
covered with gold and silver; there is no breath in it. (2:18, 19)
But the LORD is in his holy temple; let all the earth be silent before him." (2:20)
Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop
fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the
stalls, yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will be joyful in God my Savior. The Sovereign
LORD is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to go on the
heights. For the director of music. On my stringed instruments. (3:17-19)

希望の誕⽣を待ち望む永原アンディ
A. 絶望の中で希望を待ち望む
1) 何世代にもわたって待ち望んだ人々(1:1-4, 13)
メッセージのポイント
イエスの誕生の数百年も前から、小さい者、弱い者、貧しい者の苦しみ、悲しみは
変わらずにありました。預言者たちは、その嘆きを神さまに投げかけます。預言者
への神様の答えは、「待て」「神に従う者は信仰によって生きる」「主はおられる」。
数百年待ってイエスが来ても、見たところ一向に変わらないようにも思える世界の
中で、希望は確かに私たちに与えられています。主がおられるので、主に対する
信仰によって、ここで希望を持って生きることができます。
話し合いのために
1) 世界は良くなりつつありますかそれとも悪くなりつつありますか？
2) なぜイエスはあなたの希望となりうるのですか？
2) 人の本質は変わらない (11,15,16, 2:18, 19)
預言者ハバククが、幻で示された託宣。主よ、わたしが助けを求めて叫んでいるのにいつ
まで、あなたは聞いてくださらないのか。わたしが、あなたに「不法」と訴えているのにあなた
は助けてくださらない。どうして、あなたはわたしに災いを見させ労苦に目を留めさせられる
のか。暴虐と不法がわたしの前にあり争いが起こり、いさかいが持ち上がっている。律法は
無力となり正義はいつまでも示されない。神に逆らう者が正しい人を取り囲む。たとえ、正
義が示されても曲げられてしまう。 (1:1-4)
彼らは風のように来て、過ぎ去る。しかし、彼らは罪に定められる。自分の力を神としたから
だ。(1:11)
主よ、あなたは永遠の昔からわが神、わが聖なる方ではありませんか。我々は死ぬことはあ
りません。主よ、あなたは我々を裁くために彼らを備えられた。岩なる神よ、あなたは我々を
懲らしめるため彼らを立てられた。 (1:12)
B. 絶望的な世界に希望が⽣まれた
1) 神様は答える (2:2-4, 20)
あなたの目は悪を見るにはあまりに清い。人の労苦に目を留めながら捨てて置かれること
はない。それなのになぜ、欺く者に目を留めながら黙っておられるのですか神に逆らう者
が、自分より正しい者を呑み込んでいるのに。 (1:13)
あなたは人間を海の魚のように治める者もない、這うもののようにされました。(1:14)
彼らはすべての人を鉤にかけて釣り上げ網に入れて引き寄せ、投網を打って集める。こうし
て、彼らは喜び躍っています。それゆえ、彼らはその網にいけにえをささげ投網に向かって
香をたいています。これを使って、彼らは豊かな分け前を得食物に潤うからです。 (1:15,
16)
主はわたしに答えて、言われた。「幻を書き記せ。走りながらでも読めるように板の上にはっ
きりと記せ。定められた時のためにもうひとつの幻があるからだ。それは終わりの時に向か
って急ぐ。人を欺くことはない。たとえ、遅くなっても、待っておれ。それは必ず来る、遅れる
ことはない。見よ、高慢な者を。彼の心は正しくありえない。しかし、神に従う人は信仰によ
って生きる。」 (2:2-4)
2) あなたの心に希望はあるか？ (3:17-19)
彫刻師の刻んだ彫像や鋳像また、偽りを教える者が何の役に立つのか。口の利けない偶
像を造り造った者がそれに依り頼んでも何の役に立つのか。災いだ、木に向かって「目を
覚ませ」と言い物言わぬ石に向かって「起きよ」と言う者は。それが託宣を下しうるのか。見
よ、これは金と銀をかぶせたものでその中に命の息は全くない。 (2:18, 19)
しかし、主はその聖なる神殿におられる。全地よ、御前に沈黙せよ。 (2:20)
いちじくの木に花は咲かずぶどうの枝は実をつけずオリーブは収穫の期待を裏切り田畑は
食物を生ぜず羊はおりから断たれ牛舎には牛がいなくなる。しかし、わたしは主によって喜
びわが救いの神のゆえに踊る。わたしの主なる神は、わが力。わたしの足を雌鹿のようにし
聖なる高台を歩ませられる。(3:17-19)
