The hilltop is a great vantage point to see the Kanogawa River. The hill is an accumulation of submarine volcanic deposits and quartz crystals used to be extracted from this place. The accumulation of quartz occurred through hydrothermal deposition of minerals, this deposition pattern is similar to the nearby Ohito Gold Mine. This is also an important vantage point to look at the history of local people and Kanogawa River, you can see the Ohito bridge that was used from olden times to cross the river and remnants of river transportation of logs from the forests.
