NRW.International – Partner for worldwide business
NRW.International coordinates the promotion of foreign trade
in North Rhine-Westphalia. In particular, it supports small and
medium-sized enterprises in the development of important
growth markets worldwide. The primary objective is to gear
the instruments and activities of foreign trade promotion to
the requirements of industry. In close coordination with its
partners in chambers of commerce and industry, chambers of
crafts, economic development agencies, associations, clusters
and state initiatives, NRW.International provides a variety of
measures tailored to the companies’ needs: It is responsible
for the organisation of joint trade fair presentations abroad,
the coordination and support of international trade delegations from North Rhine-Westphalia to foreign countries and
the pooling and editing of foreign trade information relevant
for companies from the region. NRW.International coordinates
these activities between intermediary organizations and the
government of North Rhine-Westphalia in order to provide
excellent services and political backing by the regional representatives to the business community.
NRW Japan K.K., the Japan Office of the Economic Development Agency of the German State of North Rhine-Westphalia,
NRW.INVEST GmbH, serves as the One-Stop-Agency for market
entry and expansion of Japanese clients into Germany. Regarding the renewable energy industry NRW Japan K.K. has already
assisted several Japanese companies to successfully expand to
Germany/NRW. Consulting services and seminars on business,
industries and R&D as well as the location Germany/NRW
address client needs and market entry issues. “NRW Japan
K.K. Fireplace Talks” with high-profile speakers provide study,
discussion and networking opportunities for our Japanese and
German stakeholders on a wide range of topics of common
interest.

“EnergyRegion.NRW” and the cluster “EnergyResearch.NRW –
CEF.NRW”. Furthermore, the EnergyAgency.NRW offers energy
consulting services for companies and administrative bodies,
as well as information and continuous training facilities for
specialists and individuals. The portfolio also includes courses
in user behavior, mediation services and state-wide campaigns

2G Energy AG is amongst the world’s leading manufacturers of
cogeneration systems (CHP) for decentralized energy production
and supply by means of combined heat and power. The company’s
product portfolio includes systems with an electrical capacity
between 20 kW and 4,000 kW for the operation with natural
gas, biogas or bio methane. So far, 2G was able to successfully
install thousands of CHPs in 38 countries. Especially, in the
performance range of 75 kW to 550 kW 2G possesses own
technological combustion engine concepts characterized by
low specific fuel consumptions. Next to the construction of
combined heat and power stations, the company, located in
Westphalia in the north-west of Germany, offers integrated
solutions reaching from the planning stage and installations to
serial service and maintenance work.

GRENOL Group Companies focus on developing, producing and
installing hydrothermal carbonisation reactors (HTC) to produce
biocoal and biochar from any kind of biomass resources. The
HTC reactors are the most efficient way to turn wet biomass into
coal with a very high energy content. The coal is storable and
can be used for heat and power production as well as for soil
conditioning. In addition, the low temperature process allows
the process water to be used as valuable fertilizer without fear of
dioxins. GRENOL is the first and only company worldwide success
fully implementing these reactors for different applications (wet
and dry biowaste, sewage sludge).

IBC SOLAR is one of the world’s leading photovoltaic specialists.
Since 1982 the company has implemented more than 2.7 gigawatts PV capacity. In Japan IBC SOLAR has developed and
realized 4 mega solar parks totalling 10 MWp and has recently
founded IBC SOLAR Projects KK in Tokyo. In the field of mega
solar parks IBC SOLAR acts as a full service provider with servicesacross the whole value chain, including project development, financing, engineering, procurement & construction
(EPC) and project sales. Currently, IBC SOLAR has developed
a project pipeline of around 100 MWp worldwide.

ThyssenKrupp Otto is a plant engineering firm within the
ThyssenKrupp Group and is committed to develop environmental technologies with a special focus on gasification power
generation plants. This is because the demand for woody biomass generation is increasing in Japan for effective utilization
of forest resources and steady generation of renewable power,
and the technology is expected to further increase under the
new FIT with preferential cost for medium and small sized biomass plant less than 2 MW.
The coverage of large scale plants by parent company
ThyssenKrupp Industrial Solution and the partnership with
Repotec for medium size woody biomass gasification less
than 10 MW and with Spanner for small size less than 1 MW
enable ThyssenKrupp Otto a full lineup of biomass power
generationplants to respond to various customer needs.
