Dredge - Umwelt- und Meerestechnik Kiel GmbH

Chain Bag Dredge
The chain bag dredge is a robust instrument for collecting
samples of loose rock, nodules or cobbles from the seafloor.
A ship has the dredge in tow and drags it across the seafloor,
big rocks are collected in the chain bag whereas
unconsolidated sediments are washed out.
As an option 4 sediment tubes can be mounted to the corners
of the dredge´s mouth.
