Clinical fMRI & DTI Course
Seminars & Hands on Workshop: Presurgical fMRI & DTI
April 15—16, 2016
Announcement
Ladies and gentlemen, dear colleagues
It is my great pleasure to announce the OHBM Alpine Chapter’s 2016 clinical fMRI
and DTI course, which will take place in beautiful Basel, Switzerland.
This comprehensive course on presurgical fMRI and DTI has a long tradition, is
very practically oriented, conducted by renowned experts, and now held for the
first time under patronage of the Organization for Human Brain Mapping (OHBM).
The program has been designed to attract physicians, neuroscientists and other
professionals working in the field. The number of participants is limited to ensure
personal instruction, supervision and practical training. The course is accredited
with 12 CME points.
Friday covers the full theoretical background relevant to the topic with lectures and
interactive seminars. There is a late arrival option after lunch for those participants
who are familiar with the neuroanatomical, neurophysiological and methodological
background. The afternoon is dedicated to presurgical applications.
Saturday is dedicated to practical aspects and training. After detailed instructions,
the participants are split into smaller groups, conduct actual measurements on our
high-end 3T-imager (Siemens PRISMA) and evaluate clinical data sets under close
expert supervision. You may bring your own cases.
Finally, we offer a course dinner for all participants where a reservation is required.
We will assist you with travel and accommodation issues on request.
We are looking forward to welcome you in Basel.
Yours sincerely
Prof. Dr. med. Christoph Stippich
