HERZLICH WILLKOMMEN! Wenn Sie zum ersten Mal bei uns sind, füllen Sie bitte eine "Besucher - Visitor" Karte aus,
die Sie in den Rückenlehnen der Bankreihen finden und legen Sie diese Karte in den Opferteller. Bitte tragen Sie sich auch in
unser Gästebuch ein, das sich am Haupteingang der Kirche befindet. Wenn Sie ein Mitglied in unserer St. Matthäus Gemeinde
werden möchten, dann sprechen Sie bitte mit unserem pastor.
HEILIGES ABENDMAHL: Unser Herr Jesus Christus sprach: “Nehmet hin und esset; das ist mein Leib, der für euch gegeben wird” und “Nehmet
und trinket alle daraus, dieser Kelch ist das neue Testament in meinem Blut, das für euch vergossen wird zur Vergebung der Sünden.” Weil das Brot
und der Wein wirklich in diesem Sakrament der wahre Leib und das wahre Blut Christi sind, achten wir es mit großer Ehrfurcht. Paulus lehrt, daß wir
dieses Sakrament büßig und gläubig empfangen sollen - wer es unwürdig empfängt, der empfängt nur Verdammung. Das Sakrament ist die wahre
“Gemeinschaft”, die Quelle und die Äußerung der Glaubensgemeinschaft und des Doktrin. Im Glauben an unseren Herrn laden wir deshalb zum
Abendmahl nur kommunizierende Mitglieder dieser Gemeinde oder anderer Gemeinden der Lutherischen Kirche Kanada ein (oder lutherischer
Kirchen, die Altargemeinschaft mit uns halten, wie z.B. die LCMS und SELK [Selbständige Evangelisch-Lutherische Kirche]). Wenn Sie hier zum
ersten Mal am Abendmahl teilnehmen möchten, bitten wir Sie, vorher mit einem der Kirchendiener und dann mit dem Pastor zu sprechen. Bitte
füllen Sie eine Karte zum Abendmahl aus und überreichen Sie die einem der Kirchendiener, bevor Sie zum Abendmahl gehen. Wenn Sie
Schwierigkeiten mit den Stufen zum Altar haben, setzen Sie sich bitte in die vorderste Kirchenbank und der Pastor wird Ihnen dort das Abendmahl
reichen.

ASSISTED LISTENING: Aids for hearing during the service are now available from the ushers. Due

VERANSTALTUNGEN IN NÄCHSTER ZEIT
SPECIAL COLLECTION: Our beloved organ is in dire need of repair. To repair our organ
will take approximately a month at a cost of $13,000. While we would like to see the organ
repaired, purchasing a new organ is also being considered. However, before we make any
decision, purchase or repair, we would like to raise the necessary funds.
Please consider dedicating a donation to the organ fund.
COFFEE HOUR: Please join us for coffee and fellowship on Sunday, March 13th, 2016 after service. All
are welcome!
FLOWERS: As of January 2016 the following change for altar flowers began. IF there is a family/or
member who has signed up for flowers this will be taken care of by our florist with a fresh
bouquet. IF there is no one signed up for flowers we will use a silk bouquet. This was decided by
the PPC committee to reduce the flower expense budget. Thank you, Altar Guild
LENTEN DEVOTION: Please join us for our Lenten devotion with potluck on March 9th, at 6:30 pm.
Please bring a food item to share with your fellow members. All are welcome!

OUCH…SUFFERING FROM A TROUBLED MARRIAGE?? Do you know of someone whose
marriage needs some help to survive? If so, please throw them a lifeline and point them to the
Retrouvaille programme: Retrouvaille is a growing international organization, dedicated to helping
couples repair their hurting marriages, through a Christian based programme of retreats and follow-up
sessions. The next session in Calgary is scheduled for March 11-13, 2016. To obtain information on

SUNDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDIES: Is not the cup of thanksgiving for which we give thanks a
participation in the blood of Christ? And is not the bread that we break a participation in the body of
Christ? 1 Corinthians 10:16. What does this mean? For Sunday morning Bible study during Lent we
will take a closer look at the Sacraments.

WOMEN’S CENTRE FOOD BASKET: Dear brothers and sisters of St. Matthew. Your generosity at
Christmas was well received and used at the Centre. I called the Centre and was told that their food
pantry and Basis Needs shelves are very low. So for Lent, let's once again bring in non-perishable food
to fill the bread basket! Another basket will be for shampoos, etc. A list is on the side table with the
baskets. Thank you, Lorraine, Evangelism Committee
