（２）グローバル人材教育センターと協力し、英語を主としたリベラルアーツ科目等の企画

４．応募条件
（１）博士の学位又はこれと同等以上の能力・業績を有すること
（２）学生の教育・指導に熱意を有すること
（３）大学等の教育機関において、日本語や英語の講義等の経験を有することが望ましい。
（４）高大接続に関しての知識を持ち、高大連携活動の経験を有することが望ましい。
（５）職務遂行に必要な日本語の能力を有すること
（６）熊本市又はその近郊に居住できること
５．任期
５年（審査により再採用可。ただし、再採用は1回までとする。）

3. Responsibilities
(1) Supporting management, planning and teaching activities concerning the “Kumamoto
University Global Youth Campus” program
-Planning and management of international student exchange programs
-Planning and management concerning the Center for Secondary and Higher Education
Linkage, which is focused on junior and senior high school students
-Planning and management of education support towards the foreign residential
population with the purpose of fostering multicultural coexistence.
(2) Planning and teaching global liberal arts education courses in English in cooperation with
the Center for Global Communications".
(3) Duties in addition to (1) and (2) with the mission of creating a learning environment
connected to the needs of the local society and with operations necessary to carry out the
purposes of the College of Cross-Cultural and Multidisciplinary Studies.
4. Required Qualifications
(1) A doctoral degree in arts, humanities and social sciences or in life and natural sciences or
a comparable or higher professional qualification.
(2) Enthusiasm for student teaching and mentoring
(3) Teaching experience in English and Japanese at a university or equal institution of higher
education
(4) Knowledge and experiences concerning Secondary and Higher Education Linkage,
(5) Proficiency in Japanese for daily communications and administrative purposes
(6) Relocation or residence in Kumamoto city or its outskirts
5. Term of Employment
Five years/ Reapplications are accepted but subject of assessment and on a once-only
basis
6. Start of Appointment
August 1, 2016 or the earliest possible date from August 1, 2016

8. Screening Process

Candidates selected for an interview will be contacted via E-mail or phone call individually to
inform them of date and details of the interview. Any costs related to the interview such as
transportation and accommodation expenses, will not be reimbursed by Kumamoto University.
