韓国と女性：過去と現在
Korea and Women: Past and Present
"Korea and women" as a research theme has traditionally been interpreted from feminist perspectives focusing on
the notion of difference. This forum challenges traditional feminist theories and reinterprets gender in relation to
women’ s empowerment. Prof. Chung’s presentation focuses on the comparative analysis of contemporary Korean
women poets including Junghee Moon and Margaret Atwood’s writings on women. Prof. Kubota will present on
one of the long-standing issues related to comfort women shedding light on the discourse of body for political
purposes.
