シカモア幼稚園
シカモア幼稚園は、今年創立20周年を迎えました。シカモア組合教会の付属幼稚園
として、教会の階下を使用し日本語・英語によるバイリンガル保育を行っています。特
に週末に他の活動と施設を共有するため、幼稚園用具は定期的に片付けられ、また再び
設置されます。通常の保育は午前9時から午後1時まで、延長保育は午後4時までとなっ
ています。1日最大24人の子供達を受け入れています。
1. 教師体制：
・フルタイムの園長1人 - 週40時間、年12ヶ月。
・可能性と必要に応じてフルタイムまたはパートタイムの教員1-2人。最低2名
の教員は保育時間に常駐しています。延長保育は子供の数に応じて、1人の
教員で対応することもあります。
・必要に応じて、保育補助やボランティアが入ることもあります。
2. スタッフの資格：
・すべての教員は、http://www.cde.ca.gov/fg/aa/cd/staffingqatt.aspで見られるよ
うに、カリフォルニア州ライセンス機関の最新の要件を満たす必要がありま
す。
・日本語と英語によるバイリンガル保育を行うため、園長と教員はいずれも、
両方の言語で保護者とコミュニケーションを取る能力を必要とします。
・園長と教員はいずれも、キリスト教の信仰に理解を持っている必要がありま
す。
3. カリキュラムの概要
・教員は毎日年齢に適した保育を計画し行ないます。カリキュラムには芸術、
音楽、言語、算数、そして科学が含まれています。
・カリキュラムには、特別なイベントや祝日を中心に、子供たちが定期的に日
本文化に触れられるような工夫がなされています。
・子供たちは、聖書の教えや考え方、定期的な祈りと礼拝の時間を通して、キ
リスト教の信仰が芽生えるようにと導かれます。
その他：
・現在幼稚園は、教会の特別なイベントのための数日以外は、アルバニー統合
学区のカレンダーに従っています。
・教員は労働30時間ごとに1時間の割合で病欠を蓄積します。
・パートタイムの教員には時給で、フルタイムの教員には給与が支払われま
す。

Becausethisisabilingual,Japanese-Englishprogram,boththedirectorandteachers
mustbeabletocommunicatewithparentsinbothlanguages.

BoththedirectorandteachersmustbeopentotheChrisGanfaith.
3. Curricularfocus:

specialeventsandholidays.

ChildrenareguidedinthedevelopmentoftheirChrisGanfaithbymeansofBiblical
teachingsandconcepts,andtheregularincorporaGonofprayerandworshipGme.
