コースの目標：このコースは英語の媒体、専門的なやり取り、研究、指示等に対応できるよ
うになるための初中級英語能力を身に付けることを目標とします。
Description:
学習ポイント
学習者は言語能力を上達させるため、次にあげる様々なタスクに挑戦します。
文法：初級レベルの文法構造を時制、be動詞、動詞、冠詞、前置詞に注意しながら分析、
学習します。
Grammar: Explicit and systematic basic-level grammar instruction will be provided
throughout the course. Particular attention will focus on participants’ ability to use English
verb tenses, the “be” verb, auxiliary verbs, articles, and prepositions.
発話：日常英会話、簡単な仕事場面での会話を通し、発音、会話技術を磨いていき、英語話
者とのコミュニケーションの上達を目指します。
Speaking: Participants will receive pronunciation and conversation practice. Students will
receive instruction and practice using the Basic English grammar covered in lessons in both
every day and simple professional contexts in order to foster a greater degree of
communicative competence.
聴解：できるだけ生教材に近いものを使用し情報を聞き取る力を伸ばしていきます。また聞
いた情報を要約する練習もします。
Listening: Listening skills will be developed using authentic texts and audio-visual materials
to gather overall ideas and specific information. Students will also listen to practice notetaking of information for later use, such as summary writing.
筆記：メール、メモ、手紙、日記等を書くという課題を使い、文法のポイントを押さえなが
ら英語での記述の構造を学びます。
Writing: Participants will gain a heightened awareness of written English discourse and the
mechanics of English writing through an array of tasks such as e-mail and memo writing,
letter writing, keeping a diary, and production of sentences containing key grammar points,
etc.
読解：レベルに沿った文書を読みながら理解力を伸ばしていきます。様々な題材を取り上げ
そこから情報を読み取るテクニックを学びます。
Reading: Reading comprehension abilities will be enhanced through a variety of exercises
focusing primarily on level appropriate texts. Students will also get guided practice scanning
for specific information and reading to understand the gist of particular texts.
語彙：日常用語だけでなく専門用語にまで読解、発話、聴解などを通して語彙範囲を広げて
いきます。
Vocabulary: Participants’ general and professional English vocabulary will be expanded
throughout the course via in-class activities aimed at improving reading, writing, speaking
and listening skills.
