警察は他にも被害者がいると見ている
青少年刑事司法により 18 歳以下の容疑者の名
前は公表されない。
トロント市警は Kijiji(キジジ)を利用した強盗及
び窃盗に関して市民に注意を呼びかけている。
捜査官は警察に未通報の目撃者や被害者に協力
を求めている。
昨年 12 月、警察はギルドクレスト通り付近で
発生した強盗と盗難に関する数件の通報を受け
た。
本件に関する情報を持っている人は警察 416808-4300 、匿名希望の場合はクライムストッパ
ーズ 416-222-TIPS (8477)、オンラインでは

報告によると、
• 被害者達は、Kijiji のウェブサイトで iPhone
の新機種の売り出しを見つけ、サイトに掲載
されていた先に連絡をした。
• 被害者達はギルドクレスト通り地区の住所
で、通常夜間に待ち合わせるよう告げられ
た。

four Kijiji Robbery/Theft investigations,
Police believe there may be more victims

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the
public aware of two arrests in a Kijiji Robbery/Theft
investigation.
2014 年 12 月 11 日木曜日、17 歳の少年が逮捕
され、以下の容疑で告発された。
During December 2014, police received calls for
several robberies and thefts in the Guildcrest Drive
area.
1. 強盗 2 件
2. 5000 ドル以下の窃盗 5 件
It is alleged that:
- the victims responded to classified ads on the
website Kijiji offering a new iPhone

- the victims were requested to meet at an address in
the Guildcrest Drive area, usually in the evening
2015 年 1 月 5 日月曜日、17 歳の少年が以下の

- when the victims arrived, they would be robbed of
their belongings by the sellers

- the sellers would use various fake email and
internet-generated phone services to contact the
victims

boy was arrested and charged with:
1) two counts of Robbery
2) five counts of Theft Under $5000
He was scheduled to appear in court at 1911
Eglinton Avenue East on Friday, December 12,
2014.
On Monday, January 5, 2015, a 17-year old boy was
arrested and charged with:
1) two counts of Robbery
2) five counts of Theft Under $5000
He was scheduled to appear in court at 1911
Eglinton Avenue East on Tuesday, January 6, 2014.
The names of the Young Persons cannot be released
under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice
Act.
Police believe there may be more victims.
Investigators are asking any witnesses or victims
who have not come forward to contact police.

訳出した事件は強盗及び窃盗だが、インターネ
ットを利用した犯罪で多いのは、詐欺や個人情
報を盗む犯罪である。近年インターネットを利
用してなんらかの取引を行ったり、コミュニケ
ーションを見ず知らずの人と取る事は、世界中
で日常茶飯事行われており、我々は気軽に利用
してしまいがちである。こういった行いは時と
して危険が潜んでいることを常に忘れないでお
きたい。
インターネットを経由して、取引相手と交渉
し、面会をすることが決まった場合、必ず人目
のある場所で会うことは被害から身を守るため
の一つの対策であろう。また若い女性の場合特
