INDUSTRY （工　業）
In 2012, the total value of manufactured goods shipped from Ishikawa Prefecture was 2,433.4 billion
yen, a decrease of 4.8 billion yen on the previous year. The main industries of Ishikawa include machinery,
which accounted for 1,665.9 billion yen, textiles which accounted for 196.1 billion yen and food products
which accounted for 152.9 billion yen, together producing 82.9% of the prefecture's total output.
In order to survive and win through regional and global competition in this age of globalization and
population decline, the Prefecture is encouraging the creation of new industries and training of the next
generation through the collaboration of industry and academics. The Prefecture is also taking steps to
secure and train the human resources that can support the industries. Close support is also being provided
to local industries for management stabilization and to strengthen foundations.
2012 年中の製造品出荷額等は 2 兆 4,334 億円で、前年に比べると 48 億円（0.2%）の減少となりました。本県工業
の主な部門である機械（1 兆 6,659 億円）、繊維（1,961 億円）、食料品（1,529 億円）で全体の 82.9% を占めています。
県では、グローバル化・人口減少時代における地域間競争・グローバル競争を勝ち抜くため、産学間の連携による
次世代を担う新産業の創出・育成を行うとともに、本県の産業を支える人材の総合的育成、確保を図ることとしており
ます。また、地場産業の経営安定や基盤強化についてもきめ細かな支援を行ってまいります。
