System Performance Ratio = PR
describes how much power has been generated in comparison with the PV module's Pmax.
It is a figure that can be used to fairly compare PV modules that are installed at different conditions.
(It shows the amount of actual generated power [kWh] per PV module's Pmax 1[kW], when 1[kWh/m 2]
sunlight is received.)
PR = Actual generated power [kWh] ÷ (Rated Pmax [kW] × In-plane Irradiation[kWh/㎡] )
*The Pmax of Bifacial PV Module (EarthON 254) used for calculation of PR is only the front value.
*From Jan 2013, PR of Monofacial is calculated from the estimated mono generated power calculated from measured irradiation.
Please refer to Report (2) for the calculation basis.
* The PR of this document is calculated by the Pmax of IV curve tracer before the input to Power Conditioner (PCS), and does not include the PCS loss.
*The content of this document is the result at each test field and includes uncertain items from the testing site, temperature, surrounding
environment, site management method, data networks, etc. Therefore, this result does not describe the product features accurately and does not
guarantee the product performance.
*Measurement will not be carried out during any field work sand maintenances at the test site.

Due to snow falling, we see some degradation of PR according to snow
falling date. However we still see the superior performance of bi-facial
than mono facial.
Picture was presented by Mr. Goto at Kitami City. On the 24th, we had
more than 10 hours sunshine. Also you can see continuous snow cover.
So due to 2 big factors, we had 7.42[kWh/kW] electric power generation
from bi-facial. This is one of highest electric power generation date in Feb.
This is one of features for bi-facial at snow country.
Calculated Mono Power
Estimated Mono Generated Power calculated from Irradiation (front side only).Solar
Module temp. is estimated from irradiation and tem. loss (or gain) is calculated from
Temp. coefficients. Spectral transition, DC circuit ets. losses are calculated as 5%.
Loss from snow accretion on module surface is calculated from setting a snow load loss
coefficients on daily amount of snowfalls.
