3-Grass & not flat road
The problem of not flat road & traction on grass is that the
actual wheelchairs have more than 3 point of contact on the
ground. This means that the structure of the wheelchair is
hyperstatically bonded. We decided to use a 3 wheels
whelchair, that is assimilable to an isostatic structure.

4-Narrow road
A wheelchair is a cumbersome vehicle that hardly turn in daily life routes.
We decide to improve a wheelchair able to turn on the spot with reduced
dimensions; using a single rear steering & driving wheel and electronic control of the
front brake for a better steering when the wheelchair is stopped.
5-Transfers
Transfers from wheelchair to toilet is a very serious problem. So, we decided to use a
removable seat, compatible with actual lifts in disabled toilets, avoiding to lift the
person and lifting the whole seat; this would be a confortably way to transfers. The seat
present a slot that allow the disable to use the toilet.
6-Reaching objects
We used a scissor lift, actuaded by an alectrical linear actuator, between the chassis
and the seat. This solution allow reaching higher position, such as a book in high
bookcase.

7-Confortable seating
In order to distribute the weight of the back on the seat we used an ectronically
controlled actuator on one arm of the scissor lift, in this way the seat can tilt allowing
a comfortable position.
