This page was created to honor 52 year old rice farmer, Naoto
Matsumura and his efforts to save the animals in Tomioka,
Japan, inside the "No-Go" zone. Mr. Matsumura is the last man
to remain in the area and stays to feed and care for the animals.

You do know just how wonderful ginger kitties are, right? I wasn't
lucky enough to get my first cat until I was an adult because of
bad allergies as a child. But, that first cat was a big, fat ginger
kitty who was originally a little feral kitten. He brought me so
much joy and was such a love bug! I just know that HEART
Tokushima's, Kiyo, will capture your heart as well. I'm working
very hard to help raise funds for spay and neuter services at
HEART and AFN. So, please like their pages and share them with
your friends. And, if you can adopt, that would be amazing too!

Five kittens in a few days ago, hopefully the last of this kitten
season! 4 pure white kitties and one orange female tabby. Here is
the only odd-eye of the bunch.
Still no application for kittens, so please be sure to help us out
and share our posts here. Please also "like" us if you already
haven't! (172 "likes!" so far. Please help us bring the number up!!)
Eija Niskanen I second Jen, having been volunteering in a
Fukushima-ken placed shelter since June 2011. There are even
smaller home-based "shelters" in Fukushima, housing a smaller
number of animals, but when those numbers are added, they are
big. And these are all situated in earthquake/tsunami/nuclear
disaster affected prefectures, caring for their animals.

manpower in every barn. We thought it would be better for cows

born in the fenced area managed by Japan government in
Tomioka. It gets enough milk from its mother, looks very fine. The
cows there were happily eating the feed, too.

every time he drives there. In the beginning the cat was hiding
herself but when the priest miaowed, it came out and ate the
food. Priest Yamamoto said he would take the cat to a
veterinarian in a few days. It was tiny cute cat."

(Paradise of Lives)’ in Namie town. I saw only from the distance
but the cows looked relaxing in a large area, I had an impression
that they were looked after well."

we arrived at the first barn, suddenly a cow ran quickly in front of
us. It had a lot of drool in its mouth, means it was scared and
excited, and ran to inner back of the barn. I was a bit scared but
Priest Yamamoto tried to come close to it to feed it. When we all
came out from the barn, it ran away."

Mameta, 2 puppies. I didn’t know he had already rescued 6 other
dogs in his home, total of 8 dogs, I was very surprised. Mameta
and Fudou are too active and make troubles to other dogs, so
now they are with chains except some free time when Priest
Yamamoto can watch them."

Very interesting video from the Nature channel about the lives of
wolves and other animals in Chernobyl's exclusion zone. It seems
to offer possible hope for Fukushima's wildlife as well.
Watch out because the cats around the world have heard what's
happening to the animals in Fukushima's exclusion zone and
they're not at all happy. This kitty seems determined to make sure
the message is going viral and, you all know how powerful just
