糸魚川ジオパーク巡検案内書 Key features of Renge Geosite 14 Itoigawa Global Geopark field trip guide 蓮華ジオサイトの魅力 ふんきたい ひょうが しつげん ◉噴気帯と氷河がつくった湿原 ちゅう ぶ さんがく こくりつ こうえん ひょうが 中部山岳国立公園の北部にあり、日本で最初に氷河地形 こうざんしょくぶつ が確認されたところです。きれいな高山植物やアルプスの おんせん れん まんきつ 山々、火山の噴気と温泉など、自然を満喫しながら楽しむ げ ことのできるジオサイトです。また、カモシカ展望台から あさ ひ だけ ゆき くら だけ こ の眺めはすばらしく、朝日岳・雪倉岳や新潟県最高峰の小 れん げ さん 蓮華山 （2,766ｍ） を眺めることができます。元気に走るカ Renge モシカを見ることもできるかもしれません。 ◉Volcanic Fumaroles and Glacial Wetlands The area is at the northern end of Chubu Sangaku National Park and here the first discovery of glacial topography in Japan was made. You can see wonderful development of Alpine flora that has lived from the ice age along many mountain trails. Several outdoor baths with majestic Northern Japan Alps View is wonderful. Alpine flowers blossoms from early summer to autumn. This marsh is getting smaller and smaller by the sand intrusion from surrounding mountains. 円形をしています。水深は５ｍ以下 すいしん えんけい すいめん うつく で、水面にうつる山がたいへん美 しい池です。 Shiraike Pond is formed at the pit between lava flows f rom near by S hirouma O ike Vo lc ano. Lo c ate d at altitude of 1,090 m, oval shapes pond is 450 m wide in north-south direction and 250m in west-east. This supreme feeling will not experienced at other place. 氷河の痕跡 Glacial remains こう ざん Along the mountain trail, ruins of office and refinery buildings of Renge mine remain. Silver and lead mined in Yedo to Taisho periods. Walter Weston, who is British clergy man, visited the mine on the way when he climbed Mt. Shiroumadake. Boardwalk is very slippery when it’s rain. Please don’t forget to wear proper shoes and clothes. れん げ おん せん 蓮華温泉ロッジ Lodge Renge onsen 雲上の露天風呂は、昔から 「蓮華の七湯」 と いわれ、北アルプスを眺めながらの温泉め ぐりが楽しめます。露天風呂をご利用の際は ロッジでの受付をお忘れなく。 Renge Hot Spring is well known spa from old days. Several outdoor baths has different effect.
