第２６回日本国際工作機械見本市は、東京ビッ
グサイトにおいて(社)日本工作機械工業会及び
（株）東京ビッグサイトの主催、当協会を含む
関連１３団体（次ページ）の協賛で、１１月１日
（木）から６日間にわたって「匠の技と先端技術
の融合」を統一テーマとして開催された。
前回ＪＩＭＴＯＦ２０１０の小間数よりも、１２８小間
（約２．６％）増大した５，０９２小間（45,828 ㎡）
に世界２３ヶ国・地域より、８１５社が工作機械
及びその関連機器・装置類を出展した。
来場者数は前回よりも約１２．３％増の１２万８
千６７４人（重複なし）と発表された。
JIMTOF2012 (The 26th Japan International Machine Tool Fair) was held at Tokyo Big Sight for 6 days
from Thursday, November 1 under the theme of “Mono-Zukuri Innovation”.
JIMTOF2012 was jointly organized by Japan Machine Tool Builders Association (JMTBA) and Tokyo
Big Sight Inc., under the cooperation by 13 associations including JMTIA, listed as exhibitors on the
page 2.
A total of 815 companies from 23 countries and areas exhibited machine tools and related equipment
and products in 5,092 booths or 45,828 sq. meters of exhibit space that was an increase by 128
booths (about 2.6%) compared to that of the previous JIMTOF2010.
The number of visitors has been reported as 128,674 (multi-entries counted as one) which is
approximately 12.3% up than the previous record of JIMTOF2010.

３
スイス・デー昼食会は、スイス機械・電機工業会（SWISSMEM）と当協会の主催、スイス大使館とスイス・ビジ
ネス・ハブ日本事務所の共催により、１１月２日（金）１２：００より東京ビッグサイト会議棟の１０１会議室に
約２５０名以上のご来賓をご招待して開催された。
スイス国駐日大使ウルス・ブーヘル閣下、SWISSMEM のクリストフ・ブレットラー専務理事のご挨拶に続いて、
当協会の千葉会長が乾杯のご挨拶をした。
出席者はそれぞれに交流して、昼食会は１４：００に閉会された。
SWISS DAY luncheon was held from 12:00 PM on Nov. 2 (Fri.) at the conference room 101 of the
conference tower, Tokyo Big Sight, organized by SWISSMEM and JMTIA with co-sponsorship of
Embassy of Switzerland and Swiss Business Hub Japan where more than 250 guests were invited.
Following the address of H.E. Mr. Urs Bucher, Ambassador of Switzerland to Japan and Mr. Christoph
Blaettler, Secretary General of SWISSMEM, Mr. M. Chiba, Chairman of JMTIA proposed a toast.
The attendants enjoyed the drinks, foods and networking until the luncheon was closed at 14:00 PM.

ＪＭＴＩＡ主催による懇親会「協会デー」は、１１月３日（土）午後５時３０分から東５ホールの協会事務室に
おいて開催され、会員出展者、主催者および各協賛団体をはじめ海外工業会やメーカー関係者１００名以上
のゲストが参加して、それぞれに交流を深めた。
JMTIA networking party was held on Saturday, November 3, 17:30 PM at the office room of East 5 Hall
of Tokyo Big Sight and more than 100 guests of the exhibitors of JMTIA members, the persons
concerned with the organizers, cooperating associations and overseas associations and manufacturers
attended and mutually promoted friendship among the attendants.

１１月１日（木）午後４時から中西が UCIMU のブースを訪問して、日本への工作機械の輸入統計について説明した。
また、イタリアの工作機械メーカーを代理しているＪＭＴＩＡ会員について紹介した。
Mr. Y. Nakanishi had a meeting with Mr. L. Pellegatta at the UCIMU booth at 16:00PM on November 1 and
Gave him information of the statistics of imported machine tools to Japan and also JMTIA members who
represent Italian machine tool manufacturers.

１１月２日（金）午前１０時から、会議棟６階、６０９会議室において開催された「韓国工作機械産業の動向説明会」に
中西が出席して、韓国工作機械産業の情報を入手した。
① 韓国工作機械工業会は１９７９年に設立され、現在の会員数は１８３社である。
② ２０１１年の工作機械生産額は５６億ドルで中国、日本、ドイツ、イタリアに次いで世界第５位、消費は５１億ドル
で世界第５位、輸出は２３億ドルで世界第７位、輸入は１８億ドルで世界第５位であった。
③ 日本からの輸入は４億２千万ドルで輸入総額の５２％を占める。次いで、ドイツ、スイス、中国、台湾となる。
④ ＳＩＭＴＯＳ２０１４は、２０１４年４月８日から１３日までＫＩＮＴＥＸ会場にて開催され、出展者８００社、展示スペス５，５００小間（４９，５００㎡）、来場者１１万人を予想している。
Mr. Y. Nakanishi attended “Korean Machine Tool Industry Market Status and Forecast“ held at 609 conference
room of the conference tower 6F, from 10:00AM on November 2 and received an information of Korean
machine tool industries.
① KOMMA was founded in 1979 and the current number of members is 183.
② The production of machine tools in 2011 was US$5.6 billion that was 5th place next to China, Japan,
Germany and Italy in the world, the consumption was US$ 5.1 billion, 5th place, the export amount was
US$ 2.3 Billion, 7th place and the import amount was US$1.8 billion, 5th place.
③ The import amount from Japan of US$420 million was 52% of the total import amount that was
followed by Germany, Switzerland, China and Taiwan.
④ SIMTOS2014 will be held at KINTEX from April 8 to 13, 2014 and 800 exhibitors, 5,500 booths, exhibit
space of 49,500 square meter and 110,000 visitors are expected.

１１月２日(金)午後１３時３０分から、会議棟７階、７０３会議室において、TAMI と TAITRA 合同で開催された説明会に
中西が出席して台湾工作機械業界の情報を入手した。
① TAMI は１９４５年に設立され、現在の会員数は２，６５０社で、会長は徐秀滄氏である。
② 台湾の工作機械メーカーは約７００社で、２０１１年の生産金額は約４．２億円で全産業機械の１/３を占める。
③ ２０１１年の工作機械生産額は世界６位であり、その内の８０％を占める輸出額は世界第４位であった。
輸出先は中国３８．６％、アメリカ８．８％、トルコ５．０％、タイ４．４％、ドイツ３．６％であった。
④ ２０１１年の工作機械輸入額は約６６８億円で、相手国は日本６１．２％、スイス８．６％、ドイツ８．５％、中国・
香港６．７％、アメリカ３．０％であった。
⑤ TIMTOS２０１３が、２０１３年３月５日から１０日まで台北で開催され、出展者９６０社、展示小間数５，３００小間、
来場者４３，５００人を予想している。
Mr. Y. Nakanishi attended “Press Conference for Taiwan’s Machine Tool Industry Market Status and
Forecast“ held at 703 conference room of the conference tower 7F, from 13:30 PM on November 2 and
received an information of Taiwan’s machine tool industries.
① TAMI was founded in 1945 and the current number of members is 2,650, Chairman is Mr. H.H. Tsang.
② There are about 700 machine tool builders in Taiwan and the production in 2011 is JY 420 million that
amount to 1/3 of total industrial machinery.
③ The production of machine tool in 2011 ranked 6th in the world and the export amount that was 80% of
the production was 4th. The destination of export was China 38.6%, USA 8.8%, Turkey 5.0%, Thailand
4.4% and Germany 3.6%.
④ The amount of import of machine tools in 2011 was about JY 66.8 billion and origin country was Japan
61.2%, Switzerland 8.6%, Germany 8.5%, China/Hong Kong 6.7% and USA 3.0%.
⑤ TIMTOS2013 will be held in Taipei from March 5 to 10, 2013 and 960 exhibitors, 5,300 booths and
43,500 visitors are expected.

１１月６日午後３時から、中西が AMT のブースを訪問して IMTS 視察時の御礼と一般的な情報交換をした。

our delegation to IMTS2012 and also to exchange general information.

米国製造技術工業協会（AMT）の主催による第２９回米国
国際製造技術展（シカゴ・ショー）は、２０１２年９月１０日（月）
から１５日（土）までの６日間、シカゴのマコーミック・プレースに
て開催された。
１１６，０００平方ﾒｰﾄﾙの展示スペースに、１，９０９社からの
出展があり、６日間の開催期間の入場登録者数は１００，２００
人と、前回よりも約２１．６％増加した。
会場内は相変わらず日本の工作機械メーカーが目立ったが、
韓国、台湾、中国メーカーの大型小間も多く、その急速な台頭
が窺えた。
共同出展していた森精機とＤＭＧは約３，０００平方メートルの
小間に大小４０台の工作機械を出展して、その存在感は圧倒
的だった。
好調な航空機、建設機械、エネルギー産業向けの大型機械の出展が多かったが、医療部品加工等に特化された
小型機も出展され、新分野・新素材への加工技術の開発が進んでいた。全体として、機械単体の加工能力や機
能ではなく、周辺機器や加工技術を含めたソリューション提案型が多く、ロボットによる自動化、省力化、省エネル
ギー、省スペース、環境対策等を含めた提案が多くなった。
日工会によれば、欧州や中国からの受注は減速しているが、北米向けの輸出実績は前年同月比プラスを維持し
ており、好調な設備投資を反映して来場者も多く、大変に活気が感じられた。
尚、次回ＩＭＴＳ２０１４は、２０１４年９月８日（月）から１３日（土）まで、マコーミック・プレースにて開催される。
The 29th IMTS2012 (International Manufacturing Technology Show) hosted by AMT (The Association for
Manufacturing Technology) was held from Sept. 10 (Mon) to 15 (Sat) at McCormick Place in Chicago.
1,909 companies exhibited at the exhibit space of 116,000 square meters and the registration of visitors was
100,200 that was an increase by about 21.6% compared with that of the previous IMTS2010.
Among exhibitors, the Japanese machine tool builders were outstanding as before, while the big booths of
exhibitors from Korea, Taiwan and China were obviously rising that impressed us their rapid growth.
Mori Seiki and DMG jointly exhibited several sizes of 40 machines at the huge booth of approximately 3,000
square meters that showed overwhelming presence.
The trend of exhibited machine tools was the bigger sized machines of the applications for booming industry
mainly for aircraft, construction machinery and energy, while the smaller sized machines specially designed for
medical equipment, etc. were also exhibited that showed us the advanced technology of machining of the new
material in the new industry.
As a whole, the tendency of the exhibits did not aim only at the capability of machining or the functions of the
machine itself, but proposed the solutions combined with the peripheral products and machining technology
such as automation with robots, labor-saving, energy-saving, space-saving and environmental measures, etc.
According to JMTBA, the orders from Europe and China have been decreasing, while the orders from the USA
still keep increasing year-on-year and we felt a powerful energy from the congestion of visitors to IMTS2012
under the influence of the active capital investment in the USA.
And AMT has announced that IMTS2014 will be held at McCormick Place from Sept. 8 (Mon) to 13 (Sat), 2014.

★ JMTIA 輸入促進ミッションを派遣
JMTIA Import Promotion Mission
当協会では総勢３０名（内、会員は１４名）の参加を得て、９月９日（日）より IMTS２０１０へ輸入促進を目的とする
ミッションを派遣した。３日間の見本市視察だけの「見本市コース」に７名、見本市視察後に２日間シアトルでの
工場見学を含む「視察団コース」に１６名、「グリーソン社見学コース」には７名が参加した。
JMTIA dispatched an import promotion mission to IMTS2012 consisting of 30 participants (including 14
JMTIA members) from September 9, 2012, 7 participants in the “Exhibition course” to make a study tour of
IMTS2012 for three days, 16 participants in the “Factory tour course” to visit factories in Seattle and 7
participants to visit Gleason factory in Rochester for two days after visiting IMTS2012.

General Managers’ Meeting was held
AMT と AMTDA が３月に合併したことにより、従来の各国の工作機械販売状況の報告会ではなく代表者会議
という名前で研究機関の講師によるセミナーとして、９月１２日（水）午前８時３０分から開催され、千葉会長と
中西が出席した。まず、ウッズ AMT 専務理事による挨拶に続いて、「経済の概観」、「ものづくりにおける新し
い出来事」、「CNC 以来のモノづくりの最大の変化」、「ビジネス情報の現在」と題するセミナーが開催された。
As AMT and AMTDA were merged under the AMT organization in March, 2012, the combined General
Managers’ Meeting, instead of the individual meeting held by AMT and AMTDA, was held on Wednesday,
September 12, 2012, 8:30AM, where Mr. Y. Chiba, Chairman of JMTIA and Mr. Y. Nakanishi attended.
After the opening remarks and welcome by Mr. D.K. Woods, President of AMT, held the seminars titled
“The Economic Overview”, ”A New Chapter in Manufacturing”, “The Biggest Change to Manufacturing Since
CNC” and “The Now of Business Intelligence”.

フロー社は１９７４年に創業された、高圧ポンプ、切削
ノズル、加工機からソフトウェアまでのすべてを供給する
ウォータージェット加工技術の世界的リーダーである。
全世界の従業員は６００人。
ウォータージェット加工は発熱しない、素材の剥離がない、ダストが空中に飛散しないなどの特徴から難切削性の
複合素材の加工に優れており、自動車、宇宙航空機、紙製品、食品、表面処理加工などを中心に採用されていて、
フロー社は１００か国以上で１万台以上の納入実績を保有している。紙オムツ、ティシュペーパー、自動車の内装

当工場は、より無駄を省き生産効率を上げる“Ｌｅａｎ”と呼ばれ

This company was founded In 1974 and became the world
leader in waterjet technology who can supply high
pressure pumps, cutting nozzles, base machine and its
own software and total number employees in the world is
600. Waterjet cutting is ideal for the machining hard-to-cut
composite material because of its advantages of no
material delamination, no heat generation and no airborne
dust, etc. and widely used for automobile, aerospace,
paper products, foods and surface preparation, etc.

Flow International Corporation has delivered over 10,000
Flow’s Booth at IMTS2012
waterjet and abrasive waterjet systems to customers in more than 100 countries.
The pure waterjet is used for soft material like disposal diapers, tissue paper and automobile interiors, while
the abrasive waterjet is used for hard materials like metals, glass, stone and composites.
The factory has introduced a “Lean” manufacturing process, aiming at the ultimate production efficiency by
avoiding the waste.

航空機産業、水産業、林業が中心で、ボーイング社に７万人、マイクロソフト社に４万人、米軍関係に３万人就業し
ているといわれる。シアトル・マリナーズでも日本人になじみ深い。
Seattle is the biggest city in Washington State located between Cascade Range and Olympic Peninsula and
Is blessed with water and forest. The main industry is aerospace, fisheries and forestry and it is reported that
the number of employees is 70 thousand with Boeing, 40 thousand with Microsoft and 30 thousand with the
US Navy. Seattle Mariners baseball team is also very familiar to Japanese.

９月１４日（金）、シアトルの北約４０キロのエベレットにあるボーイング社エベレット工場及び次世代旅客機ボーイン
グ７８７関連の展示品がある博物館フューチャー・オブ・フライト航空センターを見学した。
１９６７年ボーイングエベレット工場は７４７ジャンボジェットを製造するために設立され、現在は最新の７８７ドリーム
ライナーを製造している。２００５年１月に新型機７８７ドリームライナーとして認可され、大部分を最新の複合素材
で作られる最初の航空機として、無駄のない、より強度の高く、客室の与圧が低く湿度が高い快適な乗り心地を
提供する。７８７はもっとも燃料効率の良い２つの通路を持つ旅客機であり、初就航は、２００９年１月だった。
On Friday September 14, 2012, we visited Boeing Everett factory and “Future of Flight Aviation Center”, the
museum that exhibits the next generation airplane 787 related products, located about 40 kilometers north of
Seattle. In 1967, the Boeing Everett factory opened to produce the 747 jumbo jet and now they design and
manufacture the newest 787 Dreamliner. In January 2005, the airplane received a new model designation to
become the 787 Dreamliner. As the first airplane largely made with state-of-the-art composite materials, the 787
promises less waste, more durability and a better passenger experience with lower cabin altitude and higher
humidity. 787 is the most fuel-efficient twin-aisle airplane and its first inaugural flight was in December, 2009.

New Searching System of Database of JMTIA members’ information
すでにご報告のように、CMS による会員情報 DB 検索システム開発に対して、全国中小企業団体中央会
より「平成２４年度中小企業活路開拓調査・実現化事業」として補助金が交付されることになり、株式会社
RCI フロントネットに対してシステムの開発を依頼した。
新しい DB 検索システムは、平成２４年１０月１日（月）からテストランを開始した。
It was already reported that JMTIA will receive a subsidy of “Survey of developing a way and realization
project for small and medium sized enterprises” by National Federation of small Business Association
for our development of “A Searching system of a database of members’ information utilizing CMS” and
asked RCI Front Net Co., LTD. to develop a new searching system of database which were already
completed and started a trial run on Monday, October 1, 2012.

＊９月２６日（水）オカモトヤビル会議室において、経営コンサルタント、田中満佐人氏を講師に迎えて、セミナー
「実務に役立つ英語力をつける」を開催した。参加人数は４０名で、セミナー終了後、懇親会を開催した。
＊On Wednesday September 26, we invited Mr. Misato Tanaka of the management consultant as a lecturer
to held a seminar titled “To improve in English useful for Business” where 40 of members attended and
after the seminar, the attendants had a networking party.
＊１１月２５日（日）成田の森カントリークラブにおいて懇親ゴルフ大会を開催した。
参加者は１１名で、グリーソンアジア㈱の吉田敬一氏が優勝した。
＊On Sunday November 25, we had a golf competition at Naritanomori Country Club.
Mr. K. Yoshida of Gleason Asia Co., Ltd. won among 11 entrants.

また、委員会忘年会の後に忘年会を開催し、若手社員を中心に６２名が参加した。
＊The monthly Planning Committee Meeting in December was held at the conference room of Okamotoya on
Monday December 10 and Mr. Kazuhiko Goto of Walter Japan K.K. was elected Vice Chairman of the
Planning Committee as the successor to Mr. K. Yamashita who retired in November, 2012.
After the meeting, a year-end party was held and 62 young employees of members joined the party.

Press Conference of EMO HANNOVER 2013
平成２４年１２月１１日（水）１０：３０AM より「エモ・ハノーバー２０１３」の記者発表会
が、ハノーバーフェアーズジャパン㈱主催により、紀尾井フォーラムにおいて開催
された。「エモ・ハノーバー２０１３」は平成２５年９月１６日（月）から２１日（土）
まで、ドイツ・ハノーバー国際展示場で開催される。
すでに６３社の日本の工作機械メーカーから出展申込みがあって、前回エモの７６社を超えると思われる。
当協会では輸入促進視察団を派遣することにしており、多数の皆様のご参加をお願いいたします。
The press conference of “EMO HANNOVER 2013” was organized by Hannover Fairs Japan KK at Kioi-Forum
on Wednesday, December 11, 2012, 10:30~12:00 AM.
“EMO HANNOVER 2013” will be held from September 16 (Mon.) to 21 (Sat) at Fairgrounds, Hannover,
Germany.
According to the organizer, the current number of application to exhibition of Japanese machine tool builders
has already exceeded 63 and it is expected to exceed 76 exhibitors of the previous EMO HANNOVER 2011.
JMTIA will dispatch an import promotion mission to “EMO HANNOVER 2013” and the participation of a large
number of members and their customers is much appreciated.
