AJCU-AP SERVICE LEARNING PROGRAM 2014
2014 年夏期休暇中に行われるサービスラーニング・プログラム(SLP)への参加者を募集します。
本学で開講される事前プログラムおよび現地での研修を修了し、所定の成果を修めた学生には、帰国後、全学共通科目（選択科目）
として 4 単位が付与されます。
Sophia will send students to AJCU-AP Service Learning Program (SLP) in summer 2014. By participating in this program
including pre-sessions and successfully completing the course, students can earn 4 credits for General Studies (GS Electives).

プログラム内容 CONTENTS OF THE PROGRAM
本プログラムは、イエズス会系大学のイグナチオ的教育方針に基づき、「研究と教育の場(大学)」と「(途上国の)地域社会への貢献」を融
合させることを目的としたプログラムです。サービス・ラーニングプログラムは、参加学生が「開発/Development」の知識と経験を共有する
場として、学術的探求と、地域社会における実践をリンクし、機能するように設計されています。
今年のテーマは“Jesuit Education in the Frontiers of Greater Societal Engagement”です。ホスト校であるザビエル大学－アテネオ・デ・
カガヤンが大学として日々取り組んでいる、Xavier University Collaborative Service learning Program (XU-CSLP)に参加します。イグナ
チオ的教育方法に基づき、Context/背景学習 – Experience/実践･経験 – Reflection/経過観察 – Actions/行動 – Evaluation/評価という
5 つの段階によって、座学と体験学習を通じた理解を促進します。
具体的には、2011 年の台風被害を受けて、ザビエル大学と政府が共同で建設した“Xavier Ecoville”にて、ザビエル大学が掲げる 5 つの
テーマに沿ったプロジェクトに参加します。（Food Security, Environment, Health, Good Governance and Peace）参加者は予め希望する
テーマを選択しますが、各分野の専門知識は問いません。
AJCU-AP(アジア-パシフィックイエズス会大学連盟)は、アジア太平洋地域のイエズス会系大学のネットワークです。AJCU-AP によって実
施される本プログラムは、共通言語を英語とする東アジア地域のカトリック大学から様々なバックグラウンドを持つ学生が参加する研修で
す。2013 年度は韓国の西江大学、インドネシアのサナタ・ダルマ大学、フィリピンのアテネオ・デ・マニラ大学など 8 校と本学が参加しまし
た。
The main framework of SLP is the Ignatian Pedagogical Paradigm comprising of three main elements: experience, reflection and
action. For such a learning process to be successful, it must include a pre-learning element, that of context, and a post-learning
element, that of evaluation.
“Jesuit Education in the Frontiers of Greater Societal Engagement” is this year’s theme for AJCU-SLP. The participants will take
part in Xavier University Collaborative Service Learning Program (XU-CSLP) and will focus on five areas; Food Security,
Environment, Health, Good Governance, and Peace. The participants will choose one area of their preference and will join a
program in Xavier Ecoville, which was established by Xavier University and the city government after a typhoon hit in 2011.
事前事後指導 PRE/POST-SESSIONS
この講座は、2014 年度春学期開講の全学共通科目として実施される。参加者は春学期中に実施される下記の事前事後指導に必ず出
席すること。
This program will be offered as a General Studies course in the Spring Semester 2014. The Participants must attend the following
pre/post-sessions at Sophia during the Spring Semester.
①5 月 20 日（火）12：40-13：20 参加者ガイダンス Orientation, May 20th 12:40-13:20
②6 月中旬事前講義 (2-3 回程度) Pre-lecture, middle of June (2 or 3 lectures)
③6 月下旬危機管理ガイダンス Orientation on Crisis-Management, end of June
④7 月 17 日（木）渡航前ガイダンス Pre-departure Orientation, July 17th 12:40-13:20
⑤10 月
事後指導 Post-lecture, October
単位付与 CREDITS
①本学で開講される事前事後指導を含む所定のプログラムを修了して所定の成果を修めたものには、全学共通科目（選択科目）として 4
単位が付与される。成績評価は「P（合格）」、「X（不合格）」のいずれかとなる。「P」の場合のみ、4 単位が付与される。
Grade will be a "P（pass）" or "X（fail）". 4 credits with a result of “P” will be awarded towards the General Studies (GS Electives) on
completion of full program including above mentioned sessions.
②単位が付与されるためには、原則として次の 3 つの条件をすべて満たしていなければならない。
1．本学で実施される事前事後指導に全て出席すること
2．海外で実施される講座に参加して所定の成果を修めること
3．その他、本学担当教員から指示のあった課題を提出すること
Only students who satisfy all of the following requirements will be able to earn credits.
1. To attend all pre and post-sessions at Sophia during the Spring Semester
2. To participate in the program and to successfully complete it
3. To hand in assignments if the instructor of Sophia gives any.
③本科目の履修登録は学生自身が行う必要はない。
Students will not need to register for this course during the regular course registration period in April.

・原則として、申込書を提出後のキャンセルはできません。
In principle, cancellation after submission of the application documents is not allowed.
・本プログラムは全員が出発から帰国まで同一旅程で参加するものである。渡航期間の変更、宿舎の変更はできない。
All participants must follow the same schedule for this program, and should stay in the accommodation designated by the
university.
・渡航にはパスポートが必要である。所有していないものは申請手続きを行うこと。（申込期間までに間に合わなくても可。）
A passport is required for participating in this program. Applicants who do not possess one should apply as soon as possible.
・外国籍の学生はビザ取得が必要な場合があるので、申込の前にグローバル教育推進室に相談すること。ただし外国籍の者は、渡航国
政府の判断によりビザが発給されず、参加できない場合もある。
Applicants with foreign citizenship may need to obtain a visa to travel to the host country. International students should consult
with Office of Global Education and Collaboration prior to submitting the application. In some cases, international student's visa
application may be rejected by the embassy of the host country, and as a consequence, the student may not be able to
participate in the program.
・国際情勢や開講大学の事情等により講座の開講中止や開講期間の変更が生じる場合がある。
The program may be cancelled or the period may be changed due to unexpected changes of the host university or international
situation.

②受身の姿勢ではなく、積極的にプログラムの運営にも参加できること。
Those who can take an active role in the program.
③プログラムでの共通言語は英語であるため、英語で討論に参加できること。
Those who have sufficient English skills since the entire program will be conducted in English.
(No certification required)
④ハードワークに耐えうる体力・精神力を兼ね備えていること。
Those who have enough physical and emotional strength for hard-working.
※2014 年度春学期休学中の学生は参加不可。
Students on a leave of absence in the Spring Semester 2013 are not eligible for this program.
