彼女が日本においてレコーディング・アーティストとしての第一歩を踏み出したのはファースト
アルバム「Just Breakaway」(アルファミュージック、東芝 EMI)のリリース。
続いて ”Sonia Play it on the Bossanova” 1999 年、及び ”Sonia A Taste of Bossanova” 2000
年をリリース。彼女のパワフルな声量と囁くような魅惑的で甘いボーカルの絶妙な歌声で”Sonia
A Taste of Bossanova”はワールドミュージックチャートの 1 位を飾った。
その他ユーロビート系アルバム「ダンス・マニアックス」「ダンス・ダンス・レボリューション」
「ギターフリークス」(東芝 EMI)、200 年 11 月には織田裕二のアルバム、ヴィダルサスーン・
ミツカン酢の TVCF にも出演。また、東京のライブミュージックシーンには欠かせない存在とも
なっており、各種企業イベントの出演や、首都圏の主要ホテル(ホテルインターコンチネンタルホ
テル東京ベイ、ヨコハマ・グランド・インターコンチネンタルホテル、ホテルニューオータニ、
ホテルオークラ)等において定期的にライブを行う。
ポーラは、ジャズ、R&B、ポップス、ロック、ボサノヴァ、ディスコ、ファンク、シャンソンと
あらゆるボーカルスタイルを難なくこなす数少ないボーカリストである。
