With a view to maintaining the highest quality standards and guaranteeing the raising laying of only the tile in full safety, Mirage also recommends the use of a 5th central support on the 60x60 slabs during laying operations, in order to correctly distribute the stress from various types of loads on the tread surface. It is in any case possible to lay 60x60 20 mm thick slabs at a height of over 10 cm, gluing a fibreglass mesh, galvanised steel sheet or a plus mesh to the underside of the slab, depending on the raised height. Sizes 45x90, 30x120, 20x120, 60x120 - 20 mm thickness Sizes 45x90, 30x120, 20x120 and 60x120 with 20 mm thickness are considered suitable for laying on screed, gravel, sand, grass or supports at a maximum height of 2 cm, using 6 supports per slab in order to distribute loads uniformly. For raised laying between 2 and 10 cm you must apply a fibre glass mesh to the rear of the slab (galvanised steel sheet or plus mesh for size 30x120). For raised floors of more than 10 cm, galvanised steel sheet must be applied to the rear of the slab. Size 90x90 – 20 mm thickness Size 90x90 with 20 mm thickness is considered suitable for laying on screed, gravel, grass or sand.
