TO THE INTERNATIONAL LAW CLASS 2013-14:
Please be advised that, as agreed, the written examination on the general part of the course on
International law, to take place in July, will require knowledge of the following topics:
1) The nature of International law and the international system
2) Subjects of International law (Personality, statehood and recognition)
3) The sources of International law
4) The law of treaties
5) Diritto internazionale e diritto interno dal punto di vista dell'ordinamento italiano (in
italiano)
6) State responsibility
7) The peaceful settlement of disputes
Knowledge of the IL of Human rights and the Use of force is strongly recommended.
Awareness of the corresponding case-law, limited to the leading cases discussed in class, or
indicated as readings during the course, is also expected. The readings list can be asked from
Prof. Lugato, during office hours.
