Winter Dalla Corte Camp,
a successful event
at the edge of Moscow
Competitions and training sessions gathered several baristas, roasters and coffee lovers right at the edge
of Moscow, Russia, from 26 to 28 February. The Winter Dalla Corte Camp – organized by our partner
Franko – hosted the Muscovite regional Latte Art and Coffee in Good Spirits championships: competitors
worked at workstations equipped with dc pro espresso machines.
The Cup Tasting and Coffee Grinding competitions also took place: the winners of the four contests will
compete in the national finals, scheduled for late March. The event included courses on roasting and
espresso-making, as well as technical sessions. Paolo Dalla Corte and Holger Welz explained the history
and technology pluses of Dalla Corte machines to a large, extremely receptive audience. The second
day focused on the multi-boiler system and the technical features of our machines. On the third day, the
proof of taste took place, based on the cupping of espressos extracted at different temperatures with the
aim of finding the “sweet spot”, the ideal extraction point; afterwards, extractions with filters of different
diameters were carried out, which allowed participants to appreciate the higher quality of an espresso
brewed with 54mm filters – which have been chosen by Paolo and Bruno Dalla Corte for all their machines.
Finally, Anna Ambarova, Franko’s general manager, expressed her satisfaction and enthusiasm for the
success of the event and the large attendance of many professionals: a positive sign for the espresso, and
especially for the companies that have spread their top-level devices and know-how, just like ours have.

un successo l’appuntamento
alle porte di Mosca
Competizioni e momenti formativi hanno raccolto un folto numero di baristi, torrefattori e amanti del caffè
dal 26 al 28 febbraio alle porte di Mosca in Russia. Il Winter Dalla Corte Camp, organizzato dal partner
Franko ha ospitato i campionati regionali moscoviti di Latte Art e Coffee in Good Spirits: i concorrenti
hanno gareggiato alle postazioni allestite con la macchina espresso dc pro. Si sono svolte anche le gare
di Cup Tasting e Coffee Grinding: i vincitori delle quattro competizioni parteciperanno alle finali nazionali,
in programma a fine marzo.
Nelle giornate si sono susseguiti corsi sulla tostatura e sulla preparazione di un buon espresso, insieme a
incontri tecnici. Paolo Dalla Corte e Holger Welz hanno spiegato a una platea numerosa e molto attenta
la storia e si sono addentrati nei plus della tecnologia delle macchine Dalla Corte. Il secondo giorno
l’obiettivo è stato puntato sul sistema a gruppi indipendenti e le funzioni tecniche delle nostre macchine.
Il terzo giorno si è passati alla proof of taste, con assaggi di espressi estratti a diverse temperature,
individuando lo sweet spot, il punto ideale di estrazione; quindi estrazioni con filtri di diversi diametri, che
ha permesso di verificare la qualità superiore di un espresso erogato con i filtri da 54 mm scelti da Paolo
e Bruno Dalla Corte per tutte le loro macchine.
In chiusura, Anna Ambarova, general manager di Franko, ha espresso il proprio gradimento e l’entusiasmo
per la buona riuscita questo appuntamento e la partecipazione nutrita e attenta di tanti operatori: un
segno positivo per l’espresso, ma soprattutto per aziende come la nostra che portano in tutto il mondo
apparecchiature e know how di alto livello.
