Lo European Research Council (ERC) è
l'organismo dell'Unione Europea che finanzia i
ricercatori di eccellenza di qualsiasi età e
nazionalità che intendono svolgere attività di
ricerca di frontiera negli Stati membri dell’UE o
nei paesi associati.

Obiettivi
• Sostenere l’Eccellenza, potenziando il
dinamismo e la creatività della ricerca
europea "di frontiera".
• Supportare progetti di ricerca ad alto rischio,
condotti da Principal Investigators (PI) con
curricula di rilievo a livello internazionale.
• Incrementare l’attrattività dell’Europa per i
migliori ricercatori di tutto il mondo
• Attrarre investimenti nella ricerca industriale.

Il budget complessivo per il Programma ERC
è di oltre 13 miliardi di Euro
Rappresenta il 17% del budget complessivo di

Struttura della proposta
The minimum font size allowed is 11 points. The page
size is A4 (with single line spacing). Side margins
should be at least 20 mm and the bottom and top
margins at least 15 mm. Ensure that the font type
chosen is clearly readable (e.g. Arial or Times New
Roman).
Experts will be instructed to disregard any excess
pages.

• Contact your future host institution and
gather all the concrete details on your future
journey there
• Start writing your proposal early enough to
submit it to external opinions

• Make yourself familiar with the Electronic
Proposal Submission Service. Do not wait until
the last minute to get familiar with it! Once you
have submitted your project, you can still
modify it until the deadline by submitting a new
version which will overwrite the old one
• Do not miss the call deadline for submission!
Call deadlines are absolutely firm and are
strictly enforced!

Valutazione
For all ERC frontier research grants, excellence is the
sole criterion of evaluation.
It will be applied to the evaluation of both the research
project and the Principal Investigator in conjunction.

• Potenziale a diventare un independent research
leader
• Qualità dei risultati di ricerca: pubblicazioni in riviste
importanti? Pubblicazioni che aprono nuove
frontiere, testimoni di un pensiero indipendente,
creativo?
• Capacità intellettuale e creativa: esperienza di
ricerca, collaborazioni, concezione di nuovi progetti,
supervisione di studenti? Dimostrare capacità ad
affrontare grandi sfide di ricerca, e ad avviare nuove
linee di pensiero
