tutto il mondo, personaggi “curiosi” e rari artigiani che li animano con racconti di un tempo; insieme a loro troviamo le Botteghe Storiche, i negozi
di qualità, le enoteche, i deliziosi bar e i ristoranti migliori con gli artigiani
del gusto all’opera.

Il progetto Botteghiamo nasce dall’esigenza di conservare e tramandare le tradizioni artigiane, elemento fondamentale della nostra storia e
del nostro territorio, raccontando la magia e i segreti dei rioni e dei suoi
mestieri. Restauratori, orafi, doratori, mosaicisti, sarti, falegnami, paralumai, argentieri, intarsiatori, barbieri, acconciatrici, ricamatrici, cappellaie,
decoratori, tappezzieri, materassai, liutai, impagliatori, ceramisti, calzolai,
fabbri, rilegatori, tipografi e tanti altri artigiani e storiche botteghe che
non possono scomparire.
The project aims to tell you the secret and magic stories of the “Rioni”
and its crafts, it was born from the need to preserve and pass on the
traditions of our typical crafts, a key element of our history and territory.
Restorers, goldsmiths, gilders, mosaic artists, tailors, carpenters, silversmiths, marquetry, embroidery, upholsterers, instrument makers, weavers, potters, shoemakers, blacksmiths, bookbinders, printers... artisans
and historic shops should not be allowed to disappear.

Forse non a caso nasce tutto da un balcone che affaccia su p.zza di Pasquino
con la sua famosa statua parlante che rappresenta proprio Pasquino,
un artigiano del Rione (forse un barbiere o un calzolaio - come dicono da queste parti), conosciuto per una certa vena satirica, indirizzata
prevalentemente verso i detentori del potere temporale e spirituale del
XVI secolo. Le Pasquinate - i messaggi lasciati al collo della statua - continuano ancora oggi a raccontare e rappresentare una forma di denuncia
che contiene il sussurro del popolo, quello che fa fatica a farsi sentire.
Everything began from a balcony that overlooks Piazza Pasquino with
his famous speaking statue representing Pasquino, a craftsman of the district (perhaps a barber or a cobbler - as folks say), known for his satirical
work against the law back in the 16th century.
The “Pasquinate” - continues today to represent a form of protest and
story telling. The messages left on the statues neck hold hidden needs of
the people that struggle to be heard.

“I Rioni”, the districts of the historic centre of Rome, hide alleys and small
places, as well as the most beautiful and worldwide known streets and
squares. They are going to reveal odd characters, who liven up the
districts with stories of our traditional craftsmen, who will show you the
historic shops, quality shops, wine shops, delicious restaurants and bars
with the best local specialties.
It’s a glimpse of life and history, culture, art, curiosities and traditions.
