Field marine water and sediments sampling in costal and deep environment
Sampling and sieving of macrofauna
Sampling and biochemical analysis of organic matter (proteins, phytopigments, lipids,
carbohydrates) in marine water and sediment by spectrophotometric and fluorimetric
methods
Sampling and analysis of meiofauna: density centrifugation extraction of meiofauna from
marine sediments, counting, classification (taxon) and calculation of biomass of all
meiofauna organisms with stereomicroscopy and optical microscope, fixation of nematodes
on permanent mounts
Sampling of bacteria and virus in sea water and sediment and analysis of abundance by
means the procedure SYBR Green I and SYBR Gold Staining and direct counts
(epifluorescence microscopy) and analysis of prokaryotic diversity with ARISA
