Nato a Livorno nel 1961. È Livornese e Livornista.
Laureato in Scienze Politiche presso la Università di Macerata di Macerata (ITA).
Ha un Executive Master in Corporate Finance ed in General Management conseguiti presso la
SDA – Scuola di Direzione Aziendale – Università L. Bocconi di Milano (ITA).
Entra nel Gruppo SOL nell’ottobre del 1984.
Da allora ha coperto diverse posizioni in diversi dipartimenti del Gruppo: analista junior per il
dipartimento dei servizi informatici aziendali, responsabile della contabilità industriale, dirigente
della finanza aziendale.
Nel 1987 ha fatto uno stage semestrale presso la BOC Ltd (Guildford, UK) (ora assorbita dalla
Linde AG) nei siti di: Guildford nel dipartimento valutazione forniture in gasdotto come analista
junior per il mercato delle bevande gasate, quindi a Rotherham all’interno della filiale della Regione
delle Midland come venditore junior per le tecnologie dei gas criogenici rivolte all’industria
alimentare, ed infine a Morden (Londra) nel dipartimento gas speciali come venditore junior gas
puri.
Ha ricoperto per più mandati il ruolo di membro del consiglio direttivo all’interno di varie strutture
associative nell’ambito dei produttori di gas tecnici e medicinali sia in Italia che in Europa.
Dall’aprile 1998 è Vice Presidente ed Amministratore Delegato della SOL Spa, holding industriale
del Gruppo SOL.
Dal Gennaio 2003 e fino al 2007 è stato Presidente ed Amministratore Delegato della VIVISOL Srl,
società capofila delle attività di servizio di assistenza a domicilio del Gruppo SOL, ad oggi ricopre
la carica di Vicepresidente e Amministratore delegato della VIVISOL Srl.
Ha ricoperto vari incarichi in diverse associazioni collegate con i gas industriali e medicinali sia in
Italia (ASSOGASTECNICI e FEDERCHIMICA) che in Europa (EIGA– European Industrial Gas
Association) ove è attualmente vice-presidente per il termine del 2014.

Profile
He was born in Livorno (Tuscany) on the 08th of July 1961. He is Livornese and Livornist (Livorno
FC supporter).
He holds a degree in Political Sciences from Università di Macerata, Macerata (Italy).
He also earned an Executive Master in General Management and Corporate Finance from SDA –
Scuola di Direzione Aziendale – of L. Bocconi University, Milan (Italy).
He joined the SOL Group on October 1984.
Since his recruitment he has worked for several Company’s departments committed into many
different tasks with increasing responsibility within the SOL Group: he began as junior analyst of
the corporate management information system (1985), then was appointed junior responsible for
corporate cost accounting dept. (1988) and then manager of the corporate finance dept (1992).
In 1987 he did a six-month training period with BOC Ltd (Guildford, UK) (Now Linde Group) in the
locations of: Guildford as junior analyst for carbonated beverage dispensing in the supply scheme
dept., in Rotherham, Midland Region operations, as junior sales representative for cryogenic
applications food industry and eventually at Morden in the special gases dept. as junior sales
representative for special gases.
In April 1998 he was appointed Deputy-Chairman and Managing Director of SOL Spa, head
industrial company controlling the SOL Group operating in Europe and India in the field of
Industrial and Medicinal gases as well as in Home Care activities.
He presently is also Deputy Chairman and Managing Director of VIVISOL Srl, leading operative
company of the SOL Group for home care business throughout Europe.
He has been appointed member of the board in different business associations, all connected with
the industrial and medicinal gas sector, either in Italy (Assogastecnici and Federchimica) and in
Europe (EIGA – European Industrial Gas Association) where he’s now vice-president with term
2014.
