• Öffnen Sie niemals das Gehäuse des Geräts
(elektrischer Schlag, Kurzschluss- und Brandgefahr)!
• Führen Sie keine Gegenstände durch die
Schlitze und Öffnungen ins Innere des Geräts (elektrischer Schlag, Kurzschluss und
Brandgefahr)!
• Schlitze und Öffnungen des Geräts dienen
der Belüftung. Decken Sie diese Öffnungen
nicht ab (Überhitzung, Brandgefahr)!
• Stellen Sie keine mit Flüssigkeit gefüllten Gefäße, wie z.B. Vasen, auf das Gerät, den Netzadapter oder in die nähere Umgebung und
schützen Sie alle Teile vor Tropf- und Spritzwasser. Das Gefäß kann umkippen und die
Flüssigkeit kann die elektrische Sicherheit

Raum gebracht wird. Das dabei entstehende
Kondenswasser kann unter Umständen das

2.3. Aufstellort
• Stellen und betreiben Sie alle Komponenten auf einer stabilen, ebenen und vibrationsfreien Unterlage, um Stürze des Gerätes zu vermeiden.
• Setzen Sie das Gerät keinen Erschütterungen aus. Erschütterungen können der
empfindlichen Elektronik schaden.
• Achten Sie darauf, dass keine direkten Wärmequellen (z. B. Heizungen oder starkes
Kunstlicht) auf das Gerät wirken.
• Es dürfen keine offenen Brandquellen (z.

des Gerätes stehen.

• Achten Sie darauf, dass die Lüftungsschlitze nicht verdeckt sind, damit immer eine
ausreichende Belüftung gewährleistet ist.
• Stellen Sie keine Gegenstände auf die Kabel, da diese sonst beschädigt werden

• Halten Sie einen Mindestabstand von ca.
10 cm zwischen Wänden und Gerät bzw.
Netzadapter ein. Sorgen Sie für eine ausreichende Belüftung.
• Betreiben Sie Ihr Gerät nicht im Freien, da
äußere Einflüsse wie Regen, Schnee etc.

2.5. Reinigung und Pflege

• Um die Stromversorgung zu Ihrem Gerät
zu unterbrechen oder das Gerät gänzlich
von Spannung frei zu schalten, trennen Sie
das Gerät vollständig vom Netz, indem Sie
das USB-Anschlusskabel entfernen.
• Wir empfehlen zur zusätzlichen Sicherheit
die Verwendung eines Überspannungsschutzes, um das Gerät vor Beschädigung
durch Spannungsspitzen oder Blitzschlag
aus dem Stromnetz zu schützen.
• Betreiben Sie das Gerät nicht bei Gewitter.
Es besteht Gefahr von Schäden durch Blitzeinschlag! Trennen Sie das Gerät bei Gewitter vollständig vom Netz, indem Sie das
USB-Anschlusskabel von der Stromversorgung entfernen
• Das USB-Anschlusskabel muss auch nach
dem Anschließen leicht erreichbar sein,
damit es im Bedarfsfall oder einer Gefahrensituation schnell vom Netz getrennt

Dieses Gerät erfüllt die grundlegenden Anforderungen und relevanten Vorschriften der Ökodesign Richtlinie 2009/125/EG (Verordnung 1275/2008). Allerdings ist
aufgrund der bestimmungsgemäßen Verwendung des
Geräts (permanente Bereitstellung eines Access-Points
im WLAN-Netzwerk) eine Standbyfunktion im Sinne der

Über Miracast
4. Über Miracast
Miracast ist ein Peer-to-Peer Standard (Direktverbindung von Gerät zu Gerät), der die WiFi-Direktverbindung der Geräte verwendet, um Bildschirminhalte (mit
Ton) von einem Gerät zum anderen zu übertragen.
Hierfür müssen beide Geräte WiFi-Direct- und den Miracast-Standard unterstützen. Die meisten Fernsehgeräte (bzw. Beamer o. ä.) der neueren Generation unterstützen den Miracast-Standard bereits. Sollte Ihr
Fernseher Miracast nicht unterstützen, so können Sie
ihn mit der ZoomBox verbinden, um Videos über Miracast auf Ihren Fernseher zu übertragen.
4.1. Miracast auf Android
Smartphones/Tablets
Miracast wird auf Android-Geräten seit der Android
Version 4.2 (Jelly Bean) unterstützt. Alle höheren Android Versionen verwenden ebenfalls den Miracast Standard. Die entsprechende Funktion finden Sie in den
Systemeinstellungen von Android.

Über Miracast
Einige Hersteller verwenden auch andere Bezeichnungen für die Bildschirmübertragung, wie etwa „Wireless
Display“ (Motorola) oder haben eigene Standards entwickelt, die mit der Miracast-Funktion jedoch kompatibel sind (z. B. „Screen Mirroring“ (Samsung). Manche
Smartgeräte unterstützen die Miracast-Funktion auch
unter Android ab Version 4.2 nicht, da die Hardware
nicht WiFi-Direct nicht unterstützt.
Um herauszufinden, ob Ihr Smartgerät Miracast unterstützt, rufen Sie die Seite www.medion.com/ZoomBox
auf und folgen Sie den Anweisungen dort, um Schritt
für Schritt zu überprüfen, ob Ihr Gerät Miracast unterstützt.
Das Überschreiben des Stock-Android Kernels und
eine daraus resultierendes Heraufsetzen des FlashCounters (Gerootetes Android-Gerät) führt in den
meisten Fällen zu Fehlfunktionen der Miracast-Funktion.

Microsoft Windows unterstützt Miracast ab dem Betriebssystem 8.1. Voraussetzung dafür ist, dass die
Grafikkarte des Windows-PC Miracast unterstützt und
der PC mit einem WLAN-Adapter ausgestattet ist, der
WiFi-Direct unterstützt.

 Wenn Sie die ZoomBox nicht mehr verwenden wollen, trennen Sie das Gerät von der Stromversorgung, indem Sie das USB-Kabel vom USB-Anschluss
entfernen.
 Schalten Sie den Fernseher ein und stellen Sie die
Wiedergabequelle auf den entsprechenden HDMIAnschluss ein.

 Öffnen Sie die Charm-Leiste und wählen Sie den
Eintrag Geräte aus.
 Wählen Sie anschließend Projizieren aus und
klicken Sie auf den Eintrag Drahtlose Anzeige

Im Miracast-Modus wird der Bildschirminhalt des

können über das UPnPProtokoll (Universal Plugand-Play) Audio- und Videodateien von anderen

12. Zurücksetzen des Gerätes
Wenn das Gerät nicht mehr auf Eingaben reagieren
sollte oder bei sonstigen Funktionsstörungen kann das
Gerät wie folgt zurückgesetzt werden:
• Drücken Sie die Taste Reset mit einem spitzen Gegenstand (z. B. einer Büroklammer) für etwa 5 Sekunden lang ein.
• Die ZoomBox startet nun neu und alle Einstellungen werden auf den Auslieferungszustand zurückgesetzt. Bereits gespeicherte Netzwerkschlüssel lokaler Netzwerke müssen nach dem Zurücksetzen
neu vergeben werden.

eine daraus resultierendes Heraufsetzen des FlashCounters kann zu Fehlfunktion der Miracast-Funktion führen.

À propos de Miracast
4. À propos de Miracast
Miracast est un standard de type P2P (Peer-to-Peer,
connexion directe d'appareil à appareil) qui utilise la
connexion Wi-Fi directe d'appareils pour retransmettre
des contenus d'écran (avec le son) d'un appareil sur
l'autre.
Les deux appareils doivent pour cela être compatibles
avec WiFi Direct et le standard Miracast. La plupart des
téléviseurs (ou projecteurs et similaires) de toute nouvelle génération supportent déjà le standard Miracast.
Si votre téléviseur n'est pas compatible avec Miracast,
vous pouvez le raccorder à la ZoomBox pour retransmettre des vidéos sur votre téléviseur via Miracast.
4.1. Miracast sur smartphones/
tablettes Android
Miracast est supporté sur les appareils Android à partir
de la version 4.2 (Jelly Bean). Toutes les versions d'Android supérieures utilisent aussi le standard Miracast.

À propos de Miracast
REMARQUE
Le mode d'emploi correspondant vous fournira le cas échéant des informations sur la
fonction d'écran de votre périphérique mobile.
Quelques fabricants utilisent aussi d'autres désignations pour le partage d'écran, p. ex. « Wireless Display »
(Motorola), ou ont développé de propres standards qui
sont toutefois compatibles avec la fonction Miracast, p.
ex. « Screen Mirroring » (Samsung). Certains périphériques mobiles dont le matériel n'est pas compatible
WiFi Direct ne supportent pas la fonction Miracast sous
Android même à partir de la version 4.2.
Pour savoir si votre périphérique mobile supporte Miracast, ouvrez le site www.medion.com/ZoomBox et
suivez les instructions pour vérifier étape par étape si
votre appareil est compatible Miracast.
La surécriture du kernel stock d'Android et une augmentation du Flash Counter en résultant (périphérique
Android rooté) entraînent le plus souvent des dysfonctionnements de la fonction Miracast.

Microsoft Windows supporte Miracast à partir du système d'exploitation 8.1. La condition préalable est que
la carte graphique du PC Windows soit compatible
Miracast et que le PC soit équipé d'un adaptateur Wi-Fi
qui supporte WiFi Direct.
Sous Windows7 et Windows8, Miracast peut être utilisé
par la technologie WiDi employée par Intel lorsqu'un
pilote de chipset, carte graphique et carte Wi-Fi d'Intel
correspondant ainsi que le logiciel WiDi d'Intel sont installés.

Miracast
En mode Miracast, le contenu de l'écran du périphérique mobile et le son sont transférés via le câble HDMI
sur le téléviseur raccordé à la ZoomBox.
La résolution d'écran native du périphérique mobile
est alors utilisée sur le téléviseur, même si ce dernier
dispose d'une résolution plus élevée.
Pour le mode Miracast, votre périphérique mobile se
connecte à la ZoomBox via une connexion sans fil directe (WiFi Direct). Si une connexion Wi-Fi est déjà établie sur le périphérique mobile, elle reste conservée.

En mode DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance),
des fichiers audio et vidéo
d'autres périphériques réseau (PC, smartphone, serveur NAS) peuvent être
restitués sans fil sur le téléviseur via la ZoomBox à
l'aide du protocole UPnP
(Universal Plug-and-Play).
Un logiciel UPnP doit pour
cela être installé sur l'autre périphérique réseau. Vous
pouvez ainsi écouter des fichiers audio stockés sur des
périphériques compatibles UPnP/DLNA sur la ZoomBox en sélectionnant celle-ci comme renderer multimédia.
Le mode DLNA implique que la ZoomBox se trouve
dans le même réseau que les autres périphériques
UPnP/DLNA.
 Sur la page d'accueil de l'application, tapotez sur

des appareils DLNA avec votre périphérique mobile et

Pas d'image.

L'entrée vidéo réglée sur le téléviseur est incorrecte

• Se l'alimentatore viene portato da un ambiente freddo a uno caldo, attendere prima di collegarlo alla corrente elettrica, perché l'acqua di condensa che vi si accumula
potrebbe danneggiarlo. Una volta raggiunta la temperatura dell'ambiente, il dispositivo può essere messo in funzione in
sicurezza.
2.3. Posizionamento
• Collocare e utilizzare tutti i componenti su
una base piana, stabile e priva di vibrazioni, per evitare la caduta del dispositivo.
• Non sottoporre il dispositivo a urti e vibrazioni, in quanto potrebbero danneggiare i
delicati circuiti elettronici.
• Accertarsi che il dispositivo non sia esposto a fonti dirette di calore (ad es. termosifoni o luce artificiale intensa).

• Per interrompere l'alimentazione del dispositivo o per metterlo totalmente fuori
tensione, scollegarlo completamente dalla
rete elettrica, estraendo il cavo di collegamento USB.
• Per maggiore sicurezza, si consiglia di utilizzare una protezione contro le sovratensioni per evitare che il dispositivo venga
danneggiato da picchi di tensione o da fulmini nella rete elettrica.

Miracast è uno standard peer-to-peer (collegamento
diretto da dispositivo a dispositivo) che utilizza il collegamento diretto WiFi dei dispositivi per trasferire le immagini dello schermo (con audio) da un dispositivo a
un altro.
A tale scopo è necessario che entrambi i dispositivi supportino il WiFi Direct e lo standard Miracast. La
maggior parte dei televisori (oppure dei proiettori o dispositivi simili) della nuova generazione supporta già
lo standard Miracast. Se il proprio televisore non dovesse supportare il Miracast, è possibile collegarlo allo
ZoomBox in modo da potere trasferire video al televisore tramite Miracast.

Alcuni produttori utilizzano anche altri nomi per la trasmissione dei contenuti dello schermo quali "Wireless
Display" (Motorola) o hanno sviluppato standard proprietari che sono comunque compatibili con la funzione Miracast (ad es. "Screen Mirroring" di Samsung).
Alcuni dispositivi smart non supportano la funzione
Miracast nemmeno con Android in versione 4.2 o superiore, poiché l'hardware non gestisce il WiFi Direct.
Per scoprire se un dispositivo smart supporta il Miracast, andare alla pagina www.medion.com/ZoomBox e
seguire le istruzioni per verificare passo passo se il dispositivo supporta il Miracast.
La sovrascrittura del kernel di Android stock e il conseguente aumento del contatore Flash (dispositivo Android rooted) provoca nella maggior parte dei casi

(Digital Living Network
Alliance), tramite il protocollo UPnP (Universal
Plug-and-Play) si possono riprodurre sul televisore i file audio e video di
altri dispositivi nella rete
(PC, smartphone, server
NAS) senza fili attraverso lo ZoomBox. A tale scopo è necessario che sull'altro dispositivo di rete sia installato un software UPnP. È quindi possibile riprodurre
sullo ZoomBox i file musicali dei dispositivi compatibili con UPnP/DLNA selezionando lo ZoomBox come media renderer.
Per la modalità DLNA è necessario che lo ZoomBox si
trovi nella stessa rete degli altri dispositivi UPnP/DLNA.

(ad es. una graffetta) per 5 secondi.
• Lo ZoomBox si riavvierà e verranno ripristinate tutte le impostazioni predefinite. Le chiavi di rete già
memorizzate per le reti locali dovranno essere inserite nuovamente dopo il ripristino.
NOTA!
Dopo il ripristino lo ZoomBox genererà
un nuovo SSID casuale e non potrà più essere trovato con il vecchio SSID.

Risoluzione dei problemi

La voce nelle impostazioni di sistema Android del
dispositivo smart si differenzia da quella della versione nativa di Android.
 Instaurare la connessione manualmente tramite il
menu Android come descritto in „9.4.1. Bildschirmübertragung unter Android“ auf Seite 146.
• Si utilizza un kernel di Android modificato o il contatore Flash del dispositivo smart è stato aumentato (dispositivo Android rooted).
 La sovrascrittura del kernel di Android stock e il risultante aumento del contatore Flash può portare a
malfunzionamenti del Miracast.
Lo ZoomBox non è riconosciuto nella rete anche se è collegato alla rete locale.
• Lo ZoomBox si trova in un'altra rete.
 Assicurarsi che il dispositivo smart e lo ZoomBox si
trovino nella stessa rete.
• La cache dell'app impedisce che lo ZoomBox venga
trovato nella rete.
 Chiudere completamente l'app e riavviarla.
