the beautiful city of the Grand Tour, unexpectedly keeps changing fast in a fast changing

its more and more multicultural citizens a very
Italian version of an inspiring, possible future.

From 70 years ACER (Builders Association of
Rome and Province) has been associating all
the small, medium and big construction companies of Rome and its Province.
ACER is one of the most representative local
branch of ANCE (National Builders Association).
Thanks to the almost 3000 registered firms,
ACER represents a business reality which is historically and economically extremely relevant
for the roman area.
The Association offers information and assistance for the firms in many sectors:
public works, city planning, private building, labor issues, safety at work, tax and administrative issues.
ACER assists the associated companies with
its offices, organizes seminars for training and
meetings for updating on the evolution of the
industry on a technical and legal base.
Connected with ACER is also an operative company: ISVEUR (Institute for city planning and building development) which coordinates operations of social housing, urban redevelopment,
infrastructuring and project financing.

Fondazione Almagià is a cultural Foundation
established in 1947 by the Builders Association
of Rome and Province (ACER) in memory of Engineer Roberto Almagià who was the first President of the Association.
It promotes the cultural growth of the construction companies through studies in the fields of
building, developing training activities and supporting initiatives on these areas.
Its activity includes sponsorship of publications, grants, prizes and patronage of events
about innovation in building sector.

ARCHITECTURAL AND CONSTRUCTION FIRMS
This exhibition is dedicated to a series of recently built buildings that are quickly changing the
architectural image of the city of Rome.
Each building is signed by the architectural firm
that designed it and by the construction firm
that actually realized it, recognizing though that
the construction process is a complicate one,
and the architect is not the only professional in
charge for a successfull building.
The selection is very open in terms of scale of
the buildings - ranging from the urban scale to
the scale of interior design - and in terms of architectural languages.
But all the works that are part of the exhibition
share a common feeling for well fitting into
the urban fabric of the historic city or into the
luscious landscape of the beautiful regions
around Rome, for proposing simple solutions
to complex issues, for being more and more
sustainable, for the ability of knitting continual
cross references between the present and the
Rome’s Association of Architects with its over
17.000 members, is Italy’s most “cutting edge”
professional organization and Europe’s largest.
Its activity has for some years been carried out
not only at a national and regional level but
also in the international arena
through participation in European representative organizations, agreements and memoranda
of understanding with European and non-European institutions.
Today Rome’s Association of Architects, thanks
in part to the creation of the Casa dell’Architettura and the Study Centre, is a hub of international connections, seeking to foster cultural
exchanges and create collaboration opportunities among professionals from different
countries.
