ITALIAN PHILANTHROPY FORUM. “WEALTH AGAINST POVERTY”.

This Forum is Italy’s first great meeting featuring Italian and international philanthropists, opinion
leaders and scholars to discuss the "art of giving", philanthropy and what contribution it can make to
foster social cohesion and a more balanced distribution of wellness.
The international event will take place on two stages, a conference followed by a session of in-depth
workshops. Please find the two-day programme as follows:

• “Wealth against poverty: the new role played by philanthropy” – Andrea Riccardi.
The founder of Comunità di Sant’Egidio introduces the position paper developed by the Forum’s
Scientific Committee.
• “Nowadays’ philanthropy” –Giuseppe Minoia and Paolo Anselmi
The President and Vice President of research institute Eurisko present an overview of main issues
highlighted by the qualitative study concerning some leading International philanthropists.
• “The art of giving” – Thomas Sedlacek.
The Czech economist and writer, author of «Economics of Good and Evil», briefly covers this topic
through a personal performance.
