Lo spazio Lema all'interno di Design Post si veste di nuovo in occasione di Imm Köln 2014. Appuntamento
immancabile nel calendario internazionale del design, la fiera di Colonia è per il marchio l'occasione di
presentare al mercato tedesco e a tutti i visitatori internazionali la sua prima collezione di imbottiti.
Lema presenta al Design Post una casa completa, uno spazio che è una vacanza per lo spirito anche nella
frenesia della vita quotidiana, un rifugio dove gli arredi danno vita ad ambienti che accolgono la tranquillità
e favoriscono la condivisione delle emozioni. Questo mood trova ulteriore conferma grazie alla collezione di
imbottiti sfoderabili: pezzi dal sapore casual ma minuziosamente realizzati con colori e tessuti che evocano
il tempo libero e il riposo; forme ampie e confortevoli per accogliere il relax, ciascuno secondo una
sfumatura diversa.
Colonia è inoltre il luogo dove presentare le nuove configurazioni del sistema T030 progettato da Piero
Lissoni. Per essere sempre al passo con i tempi, una serie di composizioni chiuse da terra e a muro
costruite utilizzando i moduli del sistema. Le composizioni fisse del T030 hanno, per accostamenti e
finiture, l’originalità e la preziosità di una piccola serie limitata. Studiate per facilitare la fase progettuale e
logistica, rendere più semplice l’installazione e più contenuti i costi, offrono madie e contenitori di grande
eleganza e versatilità e configurazioni a parete ad alto impatto grafico adatte ad abitare spazi destinati a usi
diversi.
T030 è il più flessibile dei sistemi, capace di organizzare pareti multi-funzione, definire spazi living e home
working, disegnare contenitori per dining room, abitando i diversi paesaggi domestici con presenza discreta,
aerea, lieve.
Lo spazio al Design Post progettato dall'art director Piero Lissoni si compone di ampie zone living che
ospitano l'offerta Lema per la zona giorno: i divani progettati da Francesco Rota, Gordon Guillaumier e
Christophe Pillet si affiancano ai sistemi T030 e Selecta, punto di forza del marchio; completano le
ambientazioni gli arredi free standing che sottolineano la filosofia tutta italiana dell'azienda. Nella zona
notte, poi, Armadio al Centimetro, la quintessenza della modularità, insieme alla cabina armadio Hangar in
tutta la sua sobria e ricca eleganza.
La prima zona giorno è dominata da una confortevole composizione del divano Cloud: un divano concepito
come un grande gioco componibile di forme libere e organiche, che possono essere accostate o incastrate
dando vita a soluzioni sempre originali e adatte sia a living domestici, sia ad ampi spazi contract. Undici
moduli e tre tipologie di braccioli, di dimensioni, forma e altezza differenti per infinite possibilità di
composizione. E il gioco di combinazioni è anche cromatico, grazie alla possibilità di assemblare pezzi di
diversi colori, diversi tessuti e texture. In questa ambientazione, infatti, Cloud si presenta con un
rivestimento in tessuto grigio melange a contrasto con il bracciolo centrale rivestito in un geometrico piedde-poule. Di fronte al divano una importante composizione del sistema a spalla Selecta. La texture del
legno a poro aperto nella finitura rovere carbone contrasta delicatamente con i fondali laccati color Fango,
mentre la funzionalità del sistema di contenimento è garantita dai cassetti e dalle ribalte, oltre che dai
pannelli che nascondono la tv e i dispositivi multimediali. Completa il salotto un'elegante madia costruita
utilizzando i moduli di T030: un contenitore essenziale e dal carattere contemporaneo grazie alla base in
metallo Pomice che si sposa con la struttura dello stesso colore corredata di cassetti e ante.
In continuità con il living, la zona dining che vede come protagonista il tavolo Wow di Toan Nguyen, con il
piano lineare in rovere termo trattato sorretto da un nastro continuo curvo e sinuoso nella stessa finitura,
cui sono abbinate quattro sedie Tabby di Gordon Guillaumer, la poltroncina dall’imbottitura discreta,
perfetta per gli ambienti più diversi, con gambe in legno termo trattato e rivestimento in tessuto. Il
contenimento è affidato ad una delle nuove composizioni a parete di T030. Volumi a giorno si alternano a
spazi chiusi da ante in un elegante contrasto di colori laccati – Scoglio e Sabbia.
Una seconda zona living vede il suo fulcro nel divano Mustique di Gordon Guillaumier spazioso ed elegante
in modo essenziale e informale. Una struttura costituita da due “H” in profilato metallico lucido, dalla
sezione sottile, sostiene la base lineare imbottita sulla quale si stendono i cuscini della seduta, creando un
doppio strato morbido che conferisce forte linearità al disegno. I cuscini hanno tutti la forma regolare del
parallelepipedo, declinata in una gradazione di dimensioni diverse a seconda della funzione, e i rivestimenti
sono impreziositi dalla particolare cucitura pizzicata che sottolinea le forme. Una essenziale panca in
cemento, parte del sistema T030, funge da tavolino e si collega alla configurazione dello stesso sistema nei
colori Nocciola e Sabbia. Dona luminosità e profondità all’ambiente una vera e propria installazione formata
da due set di specchi Mirage di Tokujin Yoshioka, più superfici riflettenti che possono essere montate in
diverse angolazioni grazie a un particolare sistema di aggancio a parete. Un’interpretazione innovativa di un
arredo tradizionale portata avanti con ironia e leggerezza, in cui ciascun modulo è rifinito con una molatura
che ricorda le lavorazioni classiche degli specchi, unendo contemporaneità e tradizione.
Accanto, una seconda zona living caratterizzata dalla presenza del divano Snap disegnato da Francesco
Rota, un imbottito a terra modulare per soluzioni fortemente personalizzate, da utilizzare in configurazioni
lineari o angolari componendo anche chaise-longue e pouf. Il modello si distingue per le linee essenziali, le
forme rigorose, gli incastri geometrici, la spiccata eleganza e le proporzioni contemporanee, che lo rendono
luogo elettivo del comfort e del riposo familiare, anche grazie allo schienale progettato esso stesso come un
cuscino, con un’extra imbottitura in piuma che può non necessitare di cuscini aggiuntivi. La struttura può
essere sollevata da terra con una piccola intercapedine o poggiare su quattro piedini in acciaio satinato a
forma di “L” della stessa larghezza del bracciolo: un vezzo che conferisce un aspetto più sofisticato al
disegno impreziosendolo con una “lama luminosa” che spicca ancora di più nel contrasto con l’ombra che si
crea tra base e pavimento. Fronte divano il tavolino Deck di Christope Pillet il cui disegno rigoroso accosta
volumi regolari traendo forza dagli angoli retti e le superfici lisce. La base bassa è un volume quadrato in
metallo trattato, sulla quale è saldato un sottile profilo metallico a “C” nel quale sono incassati i listoni in
massello di noce Canaletto termo trattato. L'ambientazione si completa con un gruppo di etagere Chelsea di
Roberto Lazzeroni, librerie che giocano sui volumi e gli spessori presentate a Colonia nella finitura laccata
Lavagna.
La stanza da letto Lema al Design Post è un ambiente spazioso che risulta allo stesso tempo intimo e
conviviale, uno spazio per il relax a tuttotondo dove i classici arredi per la zona notte – letto, armadio –
trovano un naturale complemento nel divano Ocean Drive. La struttura è un guscio sottile di relax che a
terra corre parallelamente al pavimento, per poi salire in verticale, contenere i braccioli e sostenere lo
schienale. Alla linearità della superficie esterna rispondono le curve dell’imbottitura interna che trionfano in
sbuffi e incroci morbidi. Le cuciture, che saldano cuscinature e struttura facendole sembrare una sola entità
ripiegata quando invece sono elementi disgiunti, sono disegnate con estrema maestria e rese piatte e visibili
solo in alcuni strategici punti per esaltare le forme. La struttura elastica a vasca ha braccioli stampati curvi
che danno un’illusoria sensazione di extrasize (anche se la profondità è di soli cm 90) e un reale effetto di
extracomfort, senza bisogno di cuscini aggiuntivi. La sua presenza al centro della zona dedicata alla cabina
armadio crea un angolo di relax e benessere lussuoso e discreto. Alle sue spalle la libreria Plain di Francesco
Rota con struttura leggera nera in metallo a sezione quadrata e ripiani laccati lavagna in due diversi spessori
e differenti lunghezze
Hangar, disegnato da Piero Lissoni, è il sistema cabina per eccellenza. I montanti in alluminio nella finitura
bronzo abbinano l’estetica alla funzionalità e sottolineano per contrasto i pannelli in vetro retroilluminato; le
attrezzature in rovere moka danno un tocco piacevolmente ricco che è la cifra stilistica dell’azienda. In
abbinamento anche una composizione di Armadio al Centimetro con le nuove ante Flago nella finitura
laccato Fumo: sistemi di chiusura eleganti e funzionali grazie alla maniglia longitudinale sottile che occupa la
metà della sua altezza. Il centro della stanza è occupato dalla madia Marble Arch di Matteo Nunziati,
contenitore che gioca sul contrasto tra la struttura naturale in rovere termotrattato e il piano
contemporaneo in cemento. Il contenitore ci introduce nella parte in cui il letto Edel è protagonista assoluto
con il suo rivestimento in tessuto dai colori tenui e dalle linea sinuose e un po' retro. Circondano il letto
alcuni complementi che ne sottolineano l'eleganza: la panca Fence di Christophe Pillet con il suo disegno
leggero e sofisticato, che accosta l’effetto wireframe della fascia continua di tondini di acciaio trattato alla
compattezza dei listoni in legno massello noce Canaletto del top. Il rovere termo trattato, invece,
caratterizza il comodino Silo ironico e inusuale, funzionale ma anche divertente con una struttura in rovere
termo trattato costituita da una gamba centrale poggiata su un basamento a raggiera. Il top è un piano in
legno ripiegato a formare una “C”, per funzionare in parte come superficie di appoggio, in parte per
accogliere due cassettini che possono essere incastrati oppure usati in modo originale e bizzarro, come
contenitori liberi; inoltre due cassettiere Nine, colonne con nove cassetti in differenti altezze e profondità
che hanno il fronte inciso in modo tale da celare le maniglie. Le diverse dimensioni dei frontali
sdrammatizzano un arredo sobriamente classico e lo trasformano in un raffinato totem.
Lema nasce nel 1970 ad opera della famiglia Meroni, che tutt’ora la gestisce forte di una tradizione che
risale ai primi anni del dopoguerra. Il gruppo si compone delle divisioni casa, contract e ufficio con la
International Office Concept. Lema è stata la prima azienda italiana a sviluppare un sistema a spalla
portante in più finiture e l’armadio al centimetro, costruito su misura per il cliente. Questi due prodotti sono
il simbolo dell’attenzione che l’azienda riserva al pubblico e che si declina in tutto il catalogo per la casa,
nelle realizzazioni create su misura con i più grandi architetti e nelle soluzioni ad hoc per l’ufficio.

The Lema space within Design Post has a new look on the occasion of the Imm Köln 2014 show. An
appointment which is not to be missed in the international design calendar, the Cologne show is the
opportunity for the brand to present its first collection of upholstered furniture to the German market and
to all the show’s international visitors.
At Design Post, Lema will present a complete home, a space which is a vacation for the spirit within the
frenetic pace of daily life, a refuge where furnishings give life to environments which harbor tranquility and
promote the sharing of emotions. This mood is further confirmed by the collection of upholstered
furnishings with removable covers: pieces with a casual flavor painstakingly made with colors and fabrics
which evoke free time and rest; broad, comfortable shapes to embrace relaxation, each with a different
twist.
Cologne is also the place where we will present the new T030 system configurations designed by Piero
Lissoni. To keep up with the times, a series of closed floor-standing and wall-mounted compositions built
using T030 system modules. As a result of the finishes and combinations, the fixed compositions of T030
have the originality and preciousness of a small limited series. Designed to facilitate the planning and
logistical phases, make installation easier, and reduce costs, they offer very elegant and versatile chests
and containers and high graphical impact wall configurations which are well-suited for spaces destined for
diverse uses.
T030 is the most flexible of the systems, capable of organizing multi-function walls, defining living and home
working spaces, designing containers for the dining room, and inhabiting different domestic landscapes with
a discrete, soft and airy presence.
The space at Design Post, designed by art director Piero Lissoni, is composed of large living areas which
feature the Lema offering for the day area: the couches designed by Francesco Rota, Gordon Guillaumier
and Christophe Pillet are combined with the T030 and Selecta systems, one of the brand’s strong points;
the free standing furniture which underscores the entirely Italian philosophy of the company. In the night
area, we feature Closet by the Centimeter, the quintessence of modularity, along with the Hangar closet
cabinet with all of its sober and rich elegance.
The first day area is dominated by a comfortable composition of the Cloud couch: a couch conceived as a
large sectional play of free and organic shapes which can be combined or wedged in, giving life to solutions
which are always original and well-suited for either domestic living or large contract spaces. Eleven modules
and three types of armrests of different dimensions, shapes and heights, offer infinite compositional
possibilities. The play of combinations is also chromatic thanks to the ability to combine pieces of different
color, fabric and texture. In fact Cloud is displayed in this setting with a grey mixed fabric covering
contrasting with the central armrest covered in a geometric houndstooth pattern. Across from the couch is
a large composition of the Selecta freestanding system. The texture of the open-grain wood in the charcoal
oak finish contrasts delicately with the Fango earth brown lacquered bases, while the functionality of the
container system is ensured by the drawers and drop leaves, as well as by the panels which hide the TV and
multimedia devices. The living room is completed by an elegant chest built using the T030 modules: an
essential container with a contemporary character thanks to the Pumice metal base married with the same
colored structure equipped with drawers and doors.
The dining area, an extension of the living area, has the Wow table by Toan Nguyen as its protagonist, with
its linear plane in heat-treated oak supported by a continous curved and sinuous ribbon in the same finish,
combined with four Tabby chairs by Gordon Guillaumer, the chair with discrete upholstery which is perfect
for the most diverse environments, with heat-treated wood and fabric wrapping. One of the new T030 wall
compositions handles storage. Open shelves alternate with closed cabinets in an elegant contrast of
lacquered colors—Reef and Sand.
A second living area finds its focal point in the Mustique couch by Gordon Guillaumier, which is spacious
and elegant in a simple, informal manner. The couch is a structure made up of two slender “H” shapes
made of glossy metal extrusions which support the upholstered linear base on which lie the thin seat
cushions, creating a soft double layer which confers a strong linearity to the design. The cushions all have
the regular shape of a parallelogram, arranged in a gradation of different sizes according to function, and
the finishes are embellished by the unique gathered sewing which underscores the forms. A simple cement
bench, part of the T030 system, acts as a table and connects to the configuration of the system in Hazelnut
and Sand colors. Two sets of Mirage mirrors by Tokujin Yoshioka form a veritable installation lending
luminosity and depth to the setting, as well as reflective surfaces which can be mounted at different angles
thanks to a unique wall mounting system. It is an innovative interpretation of a traditional decor, composed
with irony and lightness, in which each module has a ground finish which recalls the traditional classical
production of mirrors, combining contemporaneousness and tradition.
Nearby, a second living area is characterized by the presence of the Snap couch designed by Francesco Rota,
a floor-mounted modular down upholstered piece which does not require additional cushions. The
structure can be raised off the floor with a small gap or can rest on four small L-shaped brushed steel feet
the same width as the armrest, a mannerism which confers a more sophisticated look to the design,
embellishing it with a “luminous blade” which stands out even more due to the contrast created by the
shadow between the base and the floor. Facing the couch, the Deck side table by Christophe Pillet whose
rigorous design combines regular spaces deriving strength from its right angles and smooth surfaces. The
low base is a square shape made of treated metal onto which is soldered a thin C-shaped metal extrusion in
which are inlaid solid heat-treated Canaletto walnut blocks. The setting is topped off by a group of Chelsea
shelves by Roberto Lazzeroni, bookshelves which play on spaces and thicknesses, shown in Cologne in the
Blackboard laquered finish.
The Lema bedroom at Design Post is a spacious setting which is at the same time intimate and convivial, a
space for all-around relaxation where the classical furnishings for the night area – bed, closet – find a
natural complement in the Ocean Drive couch. The structure is a thin shell of relaxation which runs parallel
to the floor at the bottom to then rise vertically, containing the armrests and supporting the back. The
curves of the internal upholstery resonate with the linearity of the external surface, triumphing in soft puffs
and intersections. The stitching, which joins the cushioning and the structure making them seem one
unified folded piece when they are instead unconnected elements, are designed with extreme mastery and
rendered flat and visible only in some strategic points in order to exalt the shapes. The elastic basin-shaped
structure has curved stamped armrests which give an illusory oversized sensation (even if the depth is only
90 cm) and a tangible extra-comfortable effect, without the need for additional cushions. Its presence at the
center of the area dedicated to the cabin closet creates a corner of luxurious and discrete relaxation and
well-being. At its shoulders is the Plain bookshelf by Francesco Rota, with a light black structure in square
cross-section metal and blackboard lacquered shelves in two different thicknesses and different lengths.
Hangar, designed by Piero Lissoni, is the walk-in closet par excellence. The aluminum hinges in bronze finish
combine aesthetics with functionality and underscore the contrasting backlit glass panels; the Moka oak
fittings give a pleasantly rich touch which is the stylistic hallmark of the company. Combined with this is also
a composition of the made to measure wardrobe Armadio al Centimetro with the new Flago doors in
lacquered Fumo finish: closure systems which are elegant and functional thanks to the thin longitudinal
handle which occupies half its height. The center of the room is occupied by the Marble Arch chest by
Matteo Nunziati, a container which plays on the contrast between the natural structure in heat-treated oak
and the contemporary plane in cement. The container leads us to the area in which the Edel bed is the
absolute protagonist with its covering in soft colored fabric and its sinuous, somewhat retro lines. Some
accessories surrounding the bed underscore its elegance: the Fence bench by Christophe Pillet with its light
and sophisticated design which combines the wireframe effect of the continuous strip of treated steel rods
with the compactness of the solid heat-treated Canaletto walnut blocks of the top. On the other hand, the
heat-treated oak characterizes the Silo nightstand which is ironic and unusual, functional but also fun with a
heat-treated oak structure folded over to form a “C” shape acting as a support surface, in part also to
accommodate two small drawers which can be wedged in or used as free containers in an original and
extravagant way; there are also two Nine chests of drawers, columns with nine drawers in different heights
and depths with fronts engraved to hide the handles. The different sizes of the front panels downplay a
decor which is soberly classical, transforming it into a refined totem.
Lema was founded in 1970 by the Meroni family which still today manages it supported by a tradition
dating back to the first postwar years. The group is composed of the home, contract and office divisions
with International Office Concept. Lema was the first Italian company to develop a supporting spine system
in multiple finishes as well as the closet by the centimeter, custom-built for each customer. These two
products are the symbol of the care that the company devotes to its audience and which is expressed
throughout the home catalog in its custom-made products designed by the most famous architects and in its
ad hoc office solutions.
