1e Koers 14:55uur - 4022 m
4e Koers 16:35uur - 3318 m
Wedmarkt: 10/11 Ugolin De Beaumont, 4/1 Kamool, 11/2
Fiveeightsaccount, 15/2 Champagne Chaser, 12/1 Darsi's Dream, 20/1
Kinari, 22/1 Dewi's Mate, 100/1 Cellist, 100/1 Let's Be Famous
Wedmarkt: 6/4 Sire De Grugy, 9/4 Grey Gold, 7/2 Far West, 6/1 Mister
Grez
Racingpost: Champagne Chaser drew nicely clear to win a bumper in
December and can make a race of it if moving forward from last month's
disappoiinting hurdle debut. However, UGOLIN DE BEAUMONT was a
pleasing second in a fairly good Exeter contest a fortnight ago and a
repeat of that performance will almost certainly be good enough
here.[Chris Wilson]
Racingpost: This has been a frustrating campaign for connections of
reigning Champion Chaser SIRE DE GRUGY, but he dominated the 2m
chasing scene last season and hadn't been asked a serious question
before unseating his rider on his belated reappearance a fortnight ago.
Today, he has to concede plenty of weight to a couple of very useful
opponents but, with conditions suitable, he is selected to bag this prize
before returning to Cheltenham next month. Grey Gold, a C&D winner
in October, might claim second, ahead of the novice Far West.[Chris

Wedmarkt: 100/30 Winged Crusader, 7/2 Ashes House, 9/2 Broadway
Symphony, 9/2 Letbeso, 5/1 Hada Men, 6/1 Master Hooper
Racingpost: Hada Men will be suited by the conditions and is dropped
in class after finishing third behind two subsequent winners at Leicester
but he has a way to go before he could be described as a natural
chaser and preference is for BROADWAY SYMPHONY, who had the
race in the bag from a long way out at Uttoxeter last time and may be
able to absorb the 16lb higher mark. Letbeso is also considered while it
will be fascinating to see what the market makes of dual point winner
Master Hooper on his handicap/chase debut.[Emily Weber]

13/2 Rock On Rocky, 7/1 Dormouse, 15/2 Goohar, 8/1 Zafranagar, 8/1
Filatore
Racingpost: Ubaltique hasn't entirely flourished as a chaser despite his
latest Ayr win but he should have more to offer back over hurdles under
conditions that suit. This could be the day that ALBERT BRIDGE gains
another success, though, as he returned to something like his best
behind a fairly treated one at Ffos Las last month and looks reasonably
treated despite a 3lb rise since. Filatore is in good form but is upped in
class, while Goohar has disappointed since his good Cheltenham run in
December.[Emily Weber]

Choice
Racingpost: In an open race the suggestion is RYDON PINES, who
ended last season with a C&D win and has scope to make further
progress this term if his reappearance run a fortnight did him good.
Katkeau has a point to prove after a couple of disappointing efforts but
his convincing win at Cheltenham in November is still quite fresh in the
mind. Madness Light has rather lost his way but reverts to hurdling off a
workable mark and still has potential. Kayf Moss has a preferred
engagement at Fontwell tomorrow but will be respected if running here,
after his creditable second in the Welsh Champion Hurdle three weeks
ago. Hansupfordetroit and Firebird Flyer also deserve mentions. [Chris

11/2 Bobby Dove, 6/1 Long John, 7/1 Tiquer, 12/1 Magic Present, 16/1
Vering, 100/1 Stafford Charlie
Racingpost: LONG JOHN (nap) is still quite lightly raced and posted a
good effort when second over 2m3f here last month. He should find this
easier than the 0-125 event he contested over C&D ten days ago and
can gain a first career win. Little Jimmy was in fairly good form in the
autumn and could have a say if back on song after a break. The case
for Vering is not obvious but he ran well from the front to a point over
3m last time and there is hope today's much shorter trip might prove the
key to him.[Chris Wilson]
