The environmental claim shall conform to
NBN EN ISO 14021
LCA/EPD according to NBN EN 15804
Or you use a collective EPD
A 3rd party verifies the LCA
You declare the results of the LCA on
the federal database
You add a link to the federal database
adjacent to the environmental claim on
the product
You put the product on the market –
the LCA is publicly available

Shall not use vague claims such as
“environmentally friendly” ,
“sustainable”, “non polluting”,
“green”, …
“Natural” may still contain
harmful ingredients even though
natural, therefor regarded as
vague.
No claim such as “sustainable
product”
Shall be accurate and not
misleading
Shall clearly indicate whether the
claim applies to the complete
product, or only to a product
component or packaging
Shall take into consideration all
relevant aspects ofthe product

• De web applicatie zal vanaf 1 maart 2015
