How to get there
By air
Nearest international airports:
• Schiphol Airport (Amsterdam), the
Netherlands, 130 kilometers
• Düsseldorf International Airport,
Germany, 110 kilometers
• Airport Weeze, Germany, 50 kilometers
• Brussels Airport (Zaventem), Belgium,
200 kilometers
From Schiphol Airport trains leave
every 10 to 15 minutes for Utrecht or
Duivendrecht, where you find connecting
trains to Nijmegen. During peak hours
there are direct trains between Schiphol
Airport and Nijmegen Central Station.
By train
Nijmegen is easily accessible by train
from all major cities in the Netherlands.
Train information is given on the yellow
time tables located in station halls, on
train platforms as well as on the internet:
www.ns.nl.
By bus
Local buses stop on campus on the Philips
van Leydenlaan, the Heyendaalseweg, the
Kapittelweg and Erasmuslaan. There are
several connections from Nijmegen Central
Station to these bus stops.
Regional buses from Wijchen, Venlo,
Grave, Cuijk and Grave stop on campus.
By car
Coming from Amsterdam/Utrecht on the A2,
take the A15, direction Nijmegen. At the
intersection of the A50 and A15, follow signs
’s-Hertogenbosch-Nijmegen (A50), then take
the A73 to Nijmegen.
Visitors coming from Scandinavia, Germany
and Switzerland are advised to use the
German motorways: A3/E35 (OberhausenArnhem) and A57/E31 (Krefeld-Nijmegen).
Coming from Rotterdam, follow the A15 until
the Nijmegen (A50) turn-off, then take the
A73 to Nijmegen.
Radboud University Nijmegen and the
University Medical Centre Radboudumc
are signposted as ‘Universiteit’,
‘H Ziekenhuizen’ and ‘Radboudumc’ on all
major routes into Nijmegen (see city plan).
From the south (Belgium), the Paris-BrusselsAntwerp-Breda motorway leads to Nijmegen
(via Tilburg and ’s-Hertogenbosch).
