Tokyo, 27 November 2014: Narita International Airport is pleased to announce that its new retail facilities in Terminal 3 are set to open on 8 April 2015. Three basic concepts have been used for the design of Terminal 3: Casual, Functional and Exciting. The objective is to enable travelers to enjoy air travel in a more casual atmosphere. These three concepts are also incorporated in the terminal's retail facilities with all shops set out along the customers’ flow lines so that shopping is easy, smooth and enjoyable. Terminal 3 will have 26 shops as well as food & beverage outlets. The food court, which is the largest at any airport in Japan with a seating capacity of more than 400, features seven shops that are rich in variety. Noodles and Sushi which are popular with Japanese and non-Japanese customers alike can be enjoyed at the food court as there are Miyatake Sanuki Udon and Ringer Hut, which are noodle shops to open for the first time at the airport, and TATSU SUSHI, which is a standing sushi bar. The 24-hour convenience store, LAWSON, will also open in the terminal for the convenience of customers taking early morning and late night flights. Customers using the duty-free area will also have access to Fa-So-La DUTY FREE, the largest general duty-free shop at Narita Airport.
