Mini-symposium on the occasion of the PhD thesis defense of N.J. Goossens, entiteled
‘Health-Related Quality of Life in Food Allergic Patients - Beyond Borders’.
Aims of this symposium are to raise food allergy awareness among pediatricians,
general practitioners and dietitians in the Netherlands; briefly provide some basic
knowledge about diagnosing and management of food allergic patients in clinical
practice and highlight new developments in food allergy.
Following this symposium, participants and partners are given the opportunity
to enjoy a special 3-course ‘food allergy’ menu in the neighbouring restaurant ‘t
Feithhuis (25 euro per person).
Pediatricians, general practitioners, dieticians and all those physicians and medical
students who take an interest in food allergy can register for this symposium until

* UMCG Parking ‘Noord’ and ‘Zuid’: First twenty minutes free of charge, then € 0.20 per five minutes.
First hour: € 1.60; subsequent hours: € 2.40; Whole day: € 20,* P+R: ‘Park and Ride’ means that you park your car at a car park outside the city centre and
continue your journey by bus. This may be cheaper than parking your car in the city centre or
at the UMCG. The car park is free, and all you have to do is buy a bus ticket at the ticket vending
