for solvent based applications

Cu-phthalocyanine pigments represent one of the major classes of organic
pigments used in the coatings industry. The rheological properties of the mill base
can be especially difﬁcult to control, which can lead to decreased pigment loading.
Moreover, maximized color strength as well as ﬂoating and ﬂooding during the
application process might become a challenge for paint producers and users.
In this presentation, BASF presents new approaches to dispersing
Cu-phthalocyanine pigments through using advanced polymeric dispersing agents
for solvent based and high-solids applications.
Along with this an overview of BASF’s broad range of dispersing agents will also
be presented, including controlled free radical polymerization (CFRP), which
allows tailor-made polymer architectures. This high level of structural control
results in a high density of afﬁnic pigment groups and a tailored stabilizing chain.
An optimized stabilization prevents the pigments from re-agglomeration.
The award-winning CFRP technology ensures greater efﬁciency and broad
compatibility to create improved rheology and coloristics.

WB and PC Paints, coatings and adhesives

Coatings, Adhesives and Sealants formulations.
This oligomer can be described as pre hydrolyzed and condensed form of a
glycidoxy tri methoxy silane into a siloxane structure baring multiple epoxy groups
and silanes terminations.
These features make this material more hydrophobic and stable against
hydrolysis, more reactive toward many polymer backbones and often more
effective as an adhesion promoter and crosslinker. The lower VOC contribution
introduced by its structure can also help in the design of more compliant and
effective formulated coating systems.
CoatOSil* MP 200 silane may ﬁnd application in decorative paints, wood coatings,
metal protective coatings, barrier coatings, heavy duty paints and coatings,
WB adhesives and PSAs. It may ﬁnd use in the modiﬁcation of WB, SB and HS
formulations. It can be used in integral blend modiﬁcation of polymers, or as a
primer for metal sealing and ﬁller / pigment treatment.
It has no chemical equivalent as such and can help to overcome some of the
speciﬁc issues encountered with monomeric silanes in certain, especially WB,

15.15 uur Legislation, registrations and labeling as main drivers for biocide choice;
what about efﬁciency?

The Biocidal Product Regulation has come a long way, changes from time to time
and is continuously moving deadlines forward. In the meantime, The Netherlands
have to deal with their local legislation and as a result with the local registrations
for biocides.
Since September 2013 the BPR has added Treated Articles as an extra chapter to
the biocide rules. And on top of that the industry has to take CLP 2015 into
account. Both the Treated Articles rules and CLP 2015 may oblige labeling for your
endproducts depending on the choice of molecules and the choice of marketing.
How do these regulations affect the choice of biocides? And will it affect the overall
efﬁcacy and thereby the quality of your products? Will the market choose labeling
under CLP 2015 and stay with the current preservation or will it adapt the biocides
to stay without labeling?
15.55 uur New developments in slurry dispersing additives

A special non polyacrylate based chemistry is used to generate hydrophic
dispersants which can be used in the variety of VOC-free waterborne applications
e.g., wood coatings, wall paints, roof tile paints, concrete coloration with good
hydrophobing effect.
Compatibility and colour acceptance is typically better than for slurry dispersants
based polyacrylate/polycarboxylate based chemistry.

PER AUTO
Vanuit A’dam (A2) en Rotterdam/Den Haag (A12)
Bij het verkeersplein Ouderijn (Utrecht) volgt u de A2 richting ‘s Hertogenbosch; na ca. 9 km neemt u de afrit Nieuwegein-Zuid
(afrit 10), ruim voor de lekbrug bij Vianen. Aan het einde van de afrit gaat u linksaf en na ca 900 meter, bij het derde stoplicht
slaat u rechtsaf en vervolgens 1e weg rechts. Halverwege deze weg vindt u de hoofdingang van ‘t Veerhuis.
Vanuit Hilversum/Amersfoort (A27-A28)
Volg even de bewegwijzering Utrecht/Den Haag en neem al rijdende op de A27 de afslag Nieuwegein en volg daarna de borden
Nieuwegein (wit bord met Industrie-teken) /Houten (afrit 18) en vervolgens de borden Nieuwegein-Zuid/Vianen. Neem de afslag
Lekboulevard. Na de afslag, 1e straat rechts vindt u de hoofdingang van ‘t Veerhuis halverwege deze weg.
Vanuit Arnhem (A12)
Neemt u voor Utrecht de afslag Utrecht/Nieuwegein. Volg de borden Nieuwegein en vervolgens de borden Nieuwegein-Zuid/
Vianen. Neem de afslag lekboulevard. Na de afslag, 1e straat rechts vindt u de hoofdingang van ‘t Veerhuis halverwege deze weg.
Vanuit ‘s Hertogenbosch (A2) en Breda
Richting Amsterdam/Utrecht-West aanhouden (A2) en direkt over de Lekbrug bij Vianen neemt u de afrit Nieuwegein-Zuid.
Bij de stoplichten slaat u linksaf en na ca. 500 meter, bij het tweede stoplicht, gaat u rechtsaf en vervolgens de eerste weg
rechts. Halverwege deze weg vindt u de hoofdingang van ‘t Veerhuis.
OPENBAAR VERVOER
Vanaf Utrecht CS
Neemt u de sneltram naar Nieuwegein-Zuid. Schuin tegenover de eindhalte vindt u ‘t Veerhuis. De tram vertrekt ieder kwartier
vanaf CS. De reis beslaat 3 zones, dus 4 strippen duurt 27 minuten. De bus (lijn 64), 3 zones, dus 4 strippen duurt eveneens
ca. 27 minuten en vertrekt elke 20 minuten vanaf het hele uur gerekend van het CS.
