Enjoy a Classic Holland Experience
The engine whistles and the fireman shovels coal onto the fire. Wooden partitions creak, wheels sing
and steam hisses. The start of the most exciting journey through time in Holland. Step on board and relive
an experience from a different era. In springtime the steamtrams will take you through the most
colourful bulbfields in this ancient Dutch countryside. This Classic Holland Experience is easy to reach:
it’s situated just north of Amsterdam and Schiphol airport.
Historic Triangle Extra
Boat trip, Steamtram, complete with catering - Departure from Enkhuizen: 10.40 hrs.
In Enkhuizen you board the museum ship ‘Friesland’ for the boat trip to Medemblik (start 10.40 a.m.).
During the trip we serve two cups of coffee with apple pie and when you leave the ship you will
receive a ‘Fireman’s Lunch’. After arrival you can discover the beautiful historic centre of Medemblik
and visit, for example, the bakery museum ‘De Oude Bakkerij’ (not included). At 13.20 the steamtram
will take you from Medemblik to Hoorn, where you arrive at 14.40 hours.
North-Holland 3-in-1
Boat trip, Steamtram and Zuiderzeemuseum, complete with catering Departure from Hoorn: 10.40 hrs.
Nort-Holland 3 in 1 is a complete day trip, starting by steamtram at Hoorn at 10:40 a.m. In Medemblik the
trams connect with the big steamer across lake IJsselmeer to Enkhuizen, where you will visit the famous
Dutch open air museum ‘Zuiderzeemuseum’. Coffee or tea, with a local delicacy are served on the steamtram.
On board MS ‘Friesland’ a cold Dutch lunch will be offered. At 14:35 hours the ‘Zuiderzeemuseum’ is reached,
where you can spend the rest of your afternoon.
Historic packages
Boat trip, Steamtram and guided city walk, complete with catering Departure from Hoorn or Enkhuizen: 10:40 hours.
Enkhuizen, Hoorn and Medemblik share a history of more than 2000 years. We offer you complete packages
in which we combine our experience by steamtram and boat with a guided city tour through one of the
three cities. In the morning we serve coffee or tea with Dutch apple pie, in the afternoon a cold Dutch lunch
is included in the package.
A Delicious Journey Through Time
Experience and unforgettable journey on the Sunday afternoon in beautifully restored, over 100 years
old, wooden coaches which will be pulled by an authentic steam locomotive. The interior of these
coaches has been specially adapted for this tour, on which you will enjoy a variety of small (local)
dishes served to you in a unique ambiance.

You can add components together to create the package of your own choice
• Single journey by boat, or by steamtram.
• Specific wining and dining arrangements: from a single tea or coffee to an elaborate lunch.
• Throughout the year you can hire the ‘Friesland’ or one of our steamtrams for your exclusive group
outing outside our regular timetable.
• Combine your journey with a visit to the Zuiderzee Museum in Enkhuizen, the Museum of the 20th century in Hoorn
or the Old Bakery museum in Medemblik or combine your trip with a guided city walk in one of the three historic cities.
• Make your trip extra special by choosing your own locomotive e.g. the famous ‘Bello’, or travel in the old wooden coaches.
• To complete your round trip by steamtram and ship, we can arrange tickets for the NS railway link
between Hoorn and Enkhuizen.
