Throughout the six‐week program, you’ll be encouraged to iden fy and develop your ideal self and explore your values, set and reach goals, and iden fy some of the things you think are ge ng in the way of reaching your goals. HOPE:*
Healthy, Optimistic, Persevering, Empowered. A support group for MSM diagnosed 10+ years.
+Men Moving Forward:
Connects newly diagnosed men with long-term survivors of the HIV/AIDS virus. Providing education, support, hope, socialization reestablishment tips, and FUN, are the groups central focus. +MMF seeks to provide tangible tools and support to members adjusting to the
impact HIV/AIDS has in their lives.

A support group for HIV+ women.

Living Well:*
A support group for individuals who are newly diagnosed or who have been living with HIV for a few years or less. Topics address issues
such as how to talk to your doctor, disclosure to family and friends, managing side effects, and healthy lifestyles.

HIV 101 class for every adult, HIV positive and negative, all knowledge levels welcome -RSVP.

Food for Thought:
A gathering of people living with HIV at a dinner venue to enjoy dinner and an HIV specialist presenting an important HIV
related topic. The meals are free, the food is delicious, the company is wonderful, and the education is priceless. You must
RSVP at least one week prior to the event to be included in the numbers attending. Adults only. No childcare provided.
Men’s Day Lunch & Learn:
A day of health education and empowerment provides knowledge about health issues impacting men. During the weekly
Men’s Day, HIV positive men have an opportunity to participate in an luncheon and presentation highlighting topics related to
health, personal and professional development.
Naturopathic Consultations:
Individual assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and prescriptions to cope with side effects of HIV medications. No cost!
Acupuncture:
Auricular (ear) acupuncture in a group setting effective in treating emotional stress, sleep disturbances, and side effects of HIV
medication. First appointment is at no cost; follow-up appointments are $3.00.
Straight and Positive:*
Focused on topics such as disclosure, stigma, and relationships, the Straight and Positive group is targeted for HIV positive men and
women who are heterosexual.
Mommie’s Group:

A support group specifically for pregnant or new mommies infected with HIV/AIDS.
Grupo de mamitas embarazadas o con bebes. Ven a comer, aprender y celebrar con nosotros!
SWIHA:
Southwest Institute of Healing Arts provides reflexology, Rieki, guided meditation and cranial/polarity.
+ BEGINNINGS:
A support group for HIV-positive young adults between the ages of 18-25 who are either newly diagnosed or new to care.
Group topics include: Making sense of your HIV diagnosis; Who, when and if to tell others; Navigating HIV care; Negotiating
safer sex; How to handle internalized and externalized HIV stigma; Mind/Body wellness; Understanding HIV medications;
Relationships; Medical nutrition; Legal rights and living well with HIV. Please contact the front office at 602-307-5330 to sign-up
for this group or contact Trayci Prince (group facilitator) at 602-595-8158 if you have any specific questions.
LEGAL ASSISTANCE:
Free legal assistance is provided for those living with HIV and covers things such as: Bankruptcy, Family Law, Housing, Partner Violence,
Debt Collection/Creditor Harassment, Financial and Healthcare Powers of Attorney, Living Wills and Advance Directives, and Employment
Discrimination
