We have invited leading experts in the respective fields to present their data. Emphasis will also be given to the participation of younger scientists. A total of 40 short oral presentations will be selected from the abstract submissions. There are two more highlights: With the Max-Delbrück-Lecture a renowned scientist will be honored for outstanding work in the field of genetics. In addition the Elisabeth-Gateff-Award will be awarded for an excellent PhD thesis. Applications are welcome from supervisors or PhD students, either of being a member of the Genetics Society. With the celebration of its 350th anniversary, 2015 is a very special year of the Kiel University. Please come to Kiel and enjoy not only excellent science but also the flair of a harbor city at the Baltic Sea. I am looking forward to welcoming you to Kiel in September 2015.
