CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
www.genetics-conference.de
While we welcome abstract submissions in all areas of genetics, the main topics covered in plenaries and ten symposia
are genetics of recombination, plant organelles, rapid adaption in pathogens, plant development, plant breeding, fungi,
cancer, as well as epigenetics and exciting new methods like
TALEN and CRISPR/Cas.
We have invited leading experts in the respective fields to present their data. Emphasis will also be given to the participation
of younger scientists. A total of 40 short oral presentations
will be selected from the abstract submissions.
There are two more highlights: With the Max-Delbrück-Lecture
a renowned scientist will be honored for outstanding work in
the field of genetics. In addition the Elisabeth-Gateff-Award
will be awarded for an excellent PhD thesis. Applications are
welcome from supervisors or PhD students, either of being
a member of the Genetics Society. With the celebration of
its 350th anniversary, 2015 is a very special year of the Kiel
University. Please come to Kiel and enjoy not only excellent
science but also the flair of a harbor city at the Baltic Sea.
I am looking forward to welcoming you to Kiel in September
2015.
