Nick Dudman ist ein mehrfach preisgekrönter Special Effects Make-Up Artist
mit über dreißig Jahren Erfahrung in der
Filmindustrie. Er wurde mehrfach für den
BAFTA Award und für einen Oscar nominiert. Bei Filmen wie Star Wars, Indiana
Jones, Batman und der gesamten Harry
Potter-Reihe schuf er Make-up-Effekte und
animatronische Kreaturen. Bei der amerikanisch-britischen
Gothic-Horror-Serie
Penny Dreadful ist er von Anfang an dabei.
Nick Dudman is a multi award-winning
special make-up effects artist with over
thirty years experience in the film industry.
He earned several BAFTA nominations and
an Oscar nomination. For movies like Star
Wars, Indiana Jones, Batman and the entire
Harry Potter series he has created makeup effects and animatronic creatures.
Right from the start, he has participated in
the American-British gothic horror series
Penny Dreadful.

Nationaler Preisträger ist Birger Laube
aus München, dessen Karriere mit der
Ausbildung am London College of Fashion
begann. Es folgten die Spezialisierung
zum Special Effect Make-up Artist, berufliche Einsätze in vielen Ländern sowie
eine Vielzahl an Filmproduktionen, die
den exzellenten Ruf seiner Arbeiten begründen. Besondere Würdigung verdient
sein Engagement für den Beruf des Maskenbildners, unter anderem als Dozent
an der Bayerischen Theaterakademie in
München.
Die internationale Auszeichnung erhält
Nick Dudman aus Großbritannien für sein
Lebenswerk. In mehr als 30 Jahren in der
Filmindustrie hat er als Make-up Artist
unzählige Filme geprägt. Darunter Star
Wars, Batman, Indiana Jones, Das fünfte
Element, Children of Men, die gesamte
Harry Potter-Serie und aktuell die Serie
Penny Dreadful. Für die Make-up-Effekte
und die magischen animatronischen Figuren der Harry Potter-Filme wurde er unter
anderem für den Oscar und mehrfach für
den BAFTA Award nominiert.
Die Preisverleihung findet am Samstag, 28. März 2015, um 17.00 Uhr im
Vortrags-Forum statt.
Birger Laube from Munich is a national
award winner, whose career started with
his education at the London College of
Fashion. He then specialized as a special
effect make-up artist and worked professionally in many countries as well as on
numerous film productions, which are the
foundation of his excellent reputation in
regard to his works. His commitment to
the make-up artist profession, for example as an instructor at the Bavarian Theatre
Academy in Munich, deserves special appreciation.
Nick Dudman from Great Britain receives the international award for his life’s
work. In more than 30 years in the film
industry, he has characterized countless
films, amongst which Star Wars, Batman,
Indiana Jones, The Fifth Element, Children of Men, the entire Harry Potter series
and currently the Penny Dreadful series.
He was nominated for the Oscar and several times for the BAFTA Award for the
make-up effects and the magical animatronic figures of the Harry Potter movies,
amongst others.
The award ceremony will be held on
Saturday, 28 March 2015, at 5.00 pm
at the Presentation Forum.
