Our doctors
Dr Khanh Diep (Candy) graduated from the
University of Sydney in 1991. Her experience in
general practice spans 14 years, following her
work with the Illawarra Area Health Service until
1995 and completion of a Diploma of Family
Medicine in 1997. She has since achieved a
fellowship in the Royal Australian College of
General Practitioners in 1998 and a Certificate
in Family Planning in 1999, and continues to
participate in professional development
programmes. Her areas of special interest are
women’s health, antenatal shared care and
chronic disease management, such as
diabetes, cardiovascular disease and asthma.
Dr Vinh Nguyen graduated from the University
of Sydney in 1991. After working as a Medical
Officer for the Illawarra Health Service from
1992 to 1996, he completed a Diploma of
Family Medicine in 1997 and became a fellow
of the Royal Australian College of General
Practitioners in 1998. He continues participation
in professional development programmes,
particularly in his special interests: preventative
health, musculoskeletal medicine and chronic
disease management, taken especial interest in
diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
Dr Catherine Pham completed her medical
training at the University of Sydney in 2010
which included training at Westmead and
Dubbo Base Hospitals. Since then she has
worked at Wollongong Hospital and at a
general practice in Culburra Beach. She has
completed a Diploma in Child Health in 2013
and is currently completing her General
Practice training. She enjoys photographing
birds and fiddling about on the guitar.
Dr Sudhendra Prabhu graduated from
Karnatak University (India) in 2001. He moved
to the UK in 2002 and over a span of 12 years
worked and trained across various specialities,
completing MRCP (postgraduate in internal
medicine) and then MRCGP (family medicine).
He was also awarded the trainee excellence
award during his GP training years.
He has an interest in all aspects of internal
medicine and chronic diseases, and is always
up for a challenge that would tickle his grey
matter.
He recently moved to Australia with his wife and
two young boys aged 4 and 1. He hopes to
achieve a better work/life balance and enjoys all
outdoor activities, especially water sports.

Making appointments
Our surgery employs an appointment system. If
you feel that you have a complicated problem
or multiple issues to discuss, please request an
extended appointment at the time of booking.
Home visits
If you are a regular patient of the practice and
are unable to attend the surgery due to your
medical condition, a home visit may be
arranged to your residence, including nursing
homes. A fee of $120-$240 will apply
depending on your location and the complexity
of the medical problem. (Medicare rebate from
$63.00)
Translating and interpreting services
Available, if required.
Fees and billing
Consultation fees are payable at the time of
your consultation and are displayed at the
reception desk and are as follows:
Standard consult: $60 (Medicare rebate
$37.05).
Long consult: $93 (Medicare rebate: $71.70).
Prolonged consult: $130 (Medicare
rebate:$105.55).
PLEASE NOTE: Additional costs may arise if
procedures or tests are performed and that
travel and work-related medicals such as bus
licence, pre-employment, sporting, insurance
etc are not covered by Medicare. A fee will
apply depending on the length and complexity
of the case.
Payment is required at the time of your
consultation. We accept Visa, MasterCard,
cash, cheque and Eftpos. We offer Medicare
Electronic Claiming of your rebate.
You are invited to discuss any difficulties you
may have paying your fees with your treating
doctor.
Bulk billing is only available for children, aged
care pensioners and DVA card holders. All
other pensioners and health care card holders
will be individually assessed during the initial
consultation.

Contacting us
Doctors in the practice can be contacted via
telephone during surgery hours. If your doctor is
occupied by a consultation, the receptionist will
take your message and your call will be
returned by the doctor as soon as possible. In
the event of an emergency, calls will be put
through to a nurse or doctor.
Confidentiality
Information collected from you, concerning you
with regard to your medical health and
treatment, and information disclosed during
consultations will remain confidential and will
not be released to a third party without your
written consent except in an emergency
situation or when compelled by law.
Results
If your doctor requests any tests be performed it
is the responsibility of the patient to make a
follow up appointment. Results may not be
given over the phone. Results are downloaded
and reviewed daily. We request that all x-rays
are collected after they are discussed with the
doctor.
Comments, complaints and suggestions
We would like to hear any complaints,
suggestions and reports of difficulties you might
have regarding our practice. Please feel free to
discuss any issues with your treating doctor.
Alternatively, place a query/suggestion in the
suggestion box available in the waiting room.
