The Vector 300 Chassis started out as a proven Mertz Chassis. Originally RBR contracted Mertz to build chassis for them and then in 2007, RBR bought the rights to manufacture the Vector themselves and built a facility to assemble them. Since that time RBR has worked steadily to improve almost everything about their product. The current Vector excels at durability, simplicity, and capacity. RBR currently sells around 150 chassis per year and all are pre-sold. The Vector chassis has been a very popular machine in the eastern and southeastern regions of the U.S. Their toughness is demonstrated daily as 99% of them are in service as dry spreader machines. Ag Trucks and Equipment recognized the potential of the Vector for large capacity ag sprayers on the open plains of Montana but also the ability for it to climb the hills in Eastern Washington. The Vector offers mobility with high road speeds and is also wide enough to load up to haul to farther out locations. Capacity also separates us from the rest: Offering up to 2000 gallon tanks and up to 150’ boom widths. The systems we install on our Vector chassis are tough and generic. Most spray system parts can be procured locally. Our hydraulic systems and electrical systems are straightforward and easy to understand and service. Ag Trucks knows all of our systems intimately...because we built them. “Bells and whistles that are not true features” Ag Trucks take pride in avoiding too much complexity. We do not install things like “one button fold”. Options like this require a number relays and switches which are the things that usually require a technician to show up with their laptop to diagnose. Powered by a 350 HP Cummins engine, the Vector is capable of high road speeds when the job is relatively close-by, or can also be loaded up and hauled for those jobs that are farther away. The ground clearance is a mid-height of 28”, which covers about 95% of small grain application duties. The Vector rides on a rugged and proven mechanical drivetrain which features planetary axles, front and rear along with a super duty Marmon-Herrington transfer case. Mechanical drive offers the durability and simplicity that operators demand. Finally, the full featured Crenlo cab offers superb comfort and great visibility.
