from CGHS beneficiaries for issue of Keto-Analogues/Amino
preparations.
Acid
Matter has been examined by the expert Committee who opined
that "Evidence for use of Keto-Analogues/Amino Acids in CKD is very weak. KDIGO
(Kidney Disease lmproving Global Outcome) guidelines of 2OL2 also do not
recommend the use of Keto-Analogues/Amino Acids in CKD. So the Committee is of
the opinion that the use of Keto-Analogues/Amino Acids is not indicated in CKD
patients".
CGHS receives request
In view of above opinion, Keto-Analogues/Amino Acid preparations are not to be
indented/issued in CKD patients. Previous Circular No. vide file no. 32-27/O708/CGHS/MSD/L6961 dated tLILL/20O9 is no more valid.
This issues with the approval of Competent Authority.
