Alvinox FB offers the following advantages in terms of
performances:
 High long term heat stabilization
 Low volatility and high thermal stability in the range of
temperatures applied in processing and service life of
coating formulations.
 Compatibility and synergism coatings with a broad range
of additives used in formulation with special regard to
secondary antioxidants.
Use
The recommended concentration of Alvinox FB depends both
on binder and processing conditions, and required service life
and formulation (presence of additives, pigments, fillers, etc.).
Usual addition levels of Alvinox FB are between 0.02% 0.4% depending also on the amount of the combination
antioxidants.
Any application should be thoroughly investigated according
to specific conditions of use.

Properties
Alvinox FB is a highly efficient primary antioxidant for
coatings. Its chemical structure includes three sterically
hindered phenolic groups. It works mainly as a “ radical
scavengers”, reacting efficiently with peroxy radicals and
slowing down the chain reactions process known to cause
thermal oxidation.
Labeling: the product is not classified as hazardous
according to international transport regulations. Do not
breathe dust and avoid contact with skin, eyes and mucous
membranes. In case of contact, wash immediately with plenty
of water. Store in the original closed container in a dry cool
place. Avoid dust formation.
